Owner description: Dalineum, museum completely dedicated to the work of Salvador DALI, is settled to Beaune since November, 2011. His creator, collector fascinated since 25 years by the works of Catalan Master, welcomes you with his team in a mansion of the XVIIIth century - the old place of the Bank of France - to present you more than 150 works: watercolors, drawings, original prints , gouaches, paintings, sculptures, medals and even furniture. You can soak in the talent of Master thanks to orignal works and atmosphere as closely as possible to the surrealism of Dali. Amateurs, enthusiasts and professionals, you can end the visit with the gallery where are exposed original and interpretation works of the artist and to let you tempt by his genius.

“Dali immersion”
Reviewed 6 August 2013

Wonderful small gallery but full of interesting stuff - all variety of mediums by Dali. Loved it! There is a running audio interview with Dali in French but no translation available.

“Developing quality”
Reviewed 7 July 2013

The Dalineum is developing the quality to be the best little Dali museum in France. Works of art, practical applications of Daliesque art, and reproductions for sale, make this one of the more avant gard places to visit in Beaune.

“Another View of Dali”
Reviewed 23 May 2013

This is a private collection... while small covers many aspects of Dali's fascination with women. It's a great extension of the Dali collection in Mont Martre in Paris. The price is a little steep unless you're really interested in Dali and his life.

“Very enjoyable collection”
Reviewed 14 May 2013

Entry is 7 Euro for adults. We spent about 1.5 hours here today and enjoyed it very much. There are a couple of sculptures outside (which can be viewed for free) but the rest are contained in the mansion house of Boussard de la Chapelle, an eighteenth-century residence situated in the heart of Beaune which once belonged to a former Huguenot banker, The collection is not all originals but is well arranged with notes in three languages - French, German and English for the larger pieces. The main room contains his ‘Venus de Milo with Drawers’ and the adjoining room his famous ‘Bocca’ sofa in the shape of a full pair of lips (a tribute to the American actress Mae West).
Definitely worth the entrance fee, allow at least an hour to absorb everythng and take plenty of photos, a rarity in a museum these days!
