We were looking for a stopover in Beaune and felt that with the ecstatic reviews on TA, this was the one. Hmmmmm, it didn't really live up to expectations. It is a B&B (not hotel) in a suburb of Beaune, a good 20 min walk to the restaurants in the centre of town. The room was ok in a 'shabby chic' style, no fridge provided and ice for our water was not possible. Breakfast in the conservatory had a good croissant each and tasty bread but the orange juice tasted as if it was uht juice and the fruit salad in mini killer jars was in syrup, not fresh. Coffee was self serve from a 'bean to cup' machine' which took ages and caused quite a queue. Overall, it was average but for the price we would go for a more convenient hotel.
