The photos that advertise the place show the reception house and the restaurant only, because the blocks housing the rooms look as though they were built in the second World War to house troops and never been maintained since. To call it a dump would be kind.
To be fair, the Restaurant is excellent, when they decide to open..!
The room and en-suite was awful. The ensuite didn't have a curtain and the floor got soaking. It was a modular fibreglass type of the smallest possible, any smaller and it would have been a coffin. At some stage the floorboards had been lifted, as a guess to have water fitted, and were never again secured. The poor people below would have experienced every move we made. The carpet was filthy. The people before had used the towels on the carpet outside the shower as mats, leaving them in a filthy state. They were not changed for our occupancy.
There was no air conditioning, nor was there a fan. so the only relief was to open the window, but people smoked directly below our windows, so that too added to our discomfort.
We wanted to make a winery tour, but no-one at the hotel wanted to know so we had to go into the visitor centre in Dijon to find out what was on offer and to book it up. The Centre of Dijon is very attractive with lots of picturesque buildings and churches. Like everywhere in France everyone has their hand out for a tip, even a man at the door of the church was at it.
I don't suppose it's any shock to learn we wouldn't recommend this place to anyone but the severest homeless. I'll say it again the Hotel is a dump and its staff extremely unhelpful.
