“The reception and Restaurant were the only good points..!!!”
Reviewed 24 September 2012

The photos that advertise the place show the reception house and the restaurant only, because the blocks housing the rooms look as though they were built in the second World War to house troops and never been maintained since. To call it a dump would be kind.
To be fair, the Restaurant is excellent, when they decide to open..!
The room and en-suite was awful. The ensuite didn't have a curtain and the floor got soaking. It was a modular fibreglass type of the smallest possible, any smaller and it would have been a coffin. At some stage the floorboards had been lifted, as a guess to have water fitted, and were never again secured. The poor people below would have experienced every move we made. The carpet was filthy. The people before had used the towels on the carpet outside the shower as mats, leaving them in a filthy state. They were not changed for our occupancy.
There was no air conditioning, nor was there a fan. so the only relief was to open the window, but people smoked directly below our windows, so that too added to our discomfort.
We wanted to make a winery tour, but no-one at the hotel wanted to know so we had to go into the visitor centre in Dijon to find out what was on offer and to book it up. The Centre of Dijon is very attractive with lots of picturesque buildings and churches. Like everywhere in France everyone has their hand out for a tip, even a man at the door of the church was at it.
I don't suppose it's any shock to learn we wouldn't recommend this place to anyone but the severest homeless. I'll say it again the Hotel is a dump and its staff extremely unhelpful.

Room Tip: There aren't any good rooms, so don't waste time asking. Go somewhere else.

booked through bookin.com. good cheap hotel . decided not to stay in dijon due to some com, ment on line as road works in dijon difficult. wanted cheap and cheerful after 6 hour drive on way to south. so looked okay. you get what you pay for and this was cheap. tatty not fantastically clean but the bed was comfortable. we booked this as said had restaurant on site and we wouldnt want to travel to eat. closed!!! a few other people were wandering around also lookin puzzled.
i have to admit that i dodnt go on the actual hotel site which now i am home realise that i should have as that points out that restaurant not open on friday sat or sunday but nothing on site that we booked with.
perhaps i should have checked but usually these sites are great....wont do that again!

We stayed here on our way back from the south of France. The hotel was very cheap, so we were expecting something really simple. However, we did at least expect the rooms to be clean.
The room we were given stunk of smoke and was filthy, with black dirt marks all over the walls. The carpet was old and dirty, as was the blanket on the bed. The door looked like it had been broken in to and the inside door handle was missing, so we had to use our nails to pull the door open from inside. The rolling blind was broken off/missing, and as there was a walkway in front of our window we didn't want to leave the window open whilst we were sleeping (the area the hotel is in is probably fine, but there were some suspicious characters hanging around). There was a curtain to stop the light coming in, but without ventilation it was really hot overnight. Basically the room looked like a bit like a squat.
On the bright side, although the bed was dipping in the middle from heavy usage, it was reasonably comfortable. Also, the sheets and towels seemed to be clean at least. The television was a flat screen and worked fine. The Wifi however was not working as it was being repaired apparently.
Maybe we got unlucky with the room and the others were slightly better, but regardless we won’t be staying here again.

Not a pleasant experience. Rooms outdated and in need of refurbishment. Walls thin and could hear person in next room snoring. Floors creaked. Bed, however, comfortable but linens and towels are due for replacing. Even for an en route stop I cannot recommend this hotel, Even though cheap there is better value out there
