A really substandard and extremely overpriced restaurant. The food was formally presented but with no flavour or originality to back it up. The langoustine starter was a particular low point - the langoustine put me in mind of a greasy crispy shrimp from a low-grade Chinese takeout joint, and was served with two indistinguishable dollops of flavourless whipped cream (one of which was apparently supposed to be apple flavoured). The quail was served with a smear of over-salty, over-reduced jus which tasted like packet gravy granules. The amuse-bouches and petits-fours were stale and bland. And to add insult to injury, they tried to charge us for a significantly more expensive bottle of wine than we had drunk - and were reluctant to admit their mistake! Came out at €125 per head - a massive rip-off. You can eat much better in Amboise; for instance, at Les Arpents or Château de Pray
