Visited on two occasions during our trip to Amboise, once for lunch and a second time for breakfast.

Pastries are excellent and baguettes are good for lunch- coffee also most welcome. Not open every day but certainly the one to go to in Amboise.

We did visit the other two patisseries in the town, including the very busy one in the central place- so busy that they forgot our order and we wandered off back to here. Beyond doubt this is the better option- not the views from the centre of town, but an excellent place to put your feet up with some caffeine and a pastry.

We had the majority of our breakfasts here during our 12 night stay in Amboise. There were four of us so every day we would each pick a pastry (sometimes I did two!) and then would cut it into quarters so we could sample a variety of pastries. Everything was fresh and excellent and the coffee good also. We loved the young girl who waited on our table also.

My wife and I enjoyed lunch here on our visit to Amboise as part of our cycling holiday in the Loire Valley. We enjoyed a simple lunch of baguettes and coffees. The range of pastries and sweets was also impressive. The staff were pleasant and courteous. This was relaxed dining at its best.

The 4 us ventured out for breakfast. We found the patisserie. The coffee was served very hot with a pitcher of hit milk. We all ordered the complete breakfast. 2 croissant wit butter and each had a different home made jam. Everything was delicious and the pics was only 7€ per. Great food, great price, it's a keeper. We want to go back on Monday, it was close, we were very disappointed.

Tables are available inside and outside this bright and cheery patisserie - take a seat and someone will serve you at the table; go to the till when you're done, to pay.

It was a good place for a breakfast croissant or pain beurré and café au lait. The American breakfast even included cereal. The range of cakes, pastries and macaroons looked fabulous - I wish we'd had the opportunity to sample more.
