This is well worth a visit but get there early. By 11am the queue was very long. Your tour starts in the house itself but, actually, if you've seen a few chateaux of the Loire then there's little new in the house proper. That said, the basement is where it gets interesting because replicas of Leonardo da Vinci's inventions are there to be seen. The gardens are very good and well worth a wander . There are more life size replica inventions throughout the garden and some you can interact with. You''re likely to spend more time in the gardens than the house. There's a cafe near the entrance but go further into the garden and find the one near the water wheel. It's nicer and so is the setting.
