“Beautiful stay in Amboise”

This was the perfect place for our family! We could walk to the castle and restaurants. The staff were always eager to help us with ideas for the day and to make reservations for us in the evening. Everyone speaks excellent English which is very helpful if your French isn't that great. We stayed stayed in rooms 3 and 11 which are located in the tower and are connected via a spiral staircase. The children loved it! We also enjoyed the sitting area and the lovely garden. We would definitely visit this beautiful manor house again!

We loved this beautiful, majestic manor house as a home-base for our Loire Valley explorations. It was just a couple of blocks from the Amboise chateau with its very cute down-town street and cafes. There were four of us, my husband, myself, and our two children, and the rooms were perfect for us, the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom very modern, well-lit and clean. The staff were friendly and helped us with train schedules and other touring questions. We walked the town streets and visited the chateaux Amboise, Chambord, and Chenonceau. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

We stayed here for five nights in April and could not have been happier with our choice. The hotel itself is beautiful, the excellent staff extraordinarily helpful and polite, the breakfast delicious, and the location superb. We stayed in the Catherine de Medici room and thoroughly enjoyed the spaciousness and beauty of the room and bathroom as well as our room's little entrance hall. It is an easy walk to the main street of town, where great restaurants, shops, and history await you. We would love to stay here again.

Room Tip: The Catherine de Medici room is on the first floor, so no stairs to climb.

A charming hotel in a great location - only 5 minutes walk to the castle and most restaurants. The small team of staff could not have been more helpful or accommodating with excellent English if your French is not that good. The hotel exudes character and has a high standard of housekeeping. I thought the breakfast was very good and nicely presented but then that depends upon what you expect it to include (cereal, fruit, yoghurt, juice, cheese, meat, tea/coffee and lots of fresh bread/croissants). The hotel only serves dinner during the summer months (!) but plenty of choices to eat out. They have a private car park but the entrance gates are quite narrow, so beware if you have a large car. Highly recommended.

Three nights here was a pleasure. Reception staff were able and friendly. Breakfasts high quality ans good service. Hard wired internet in rooms free, wifi did not easily reach the top floor. Historic.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is good, since it's just off the main street and 5 minutes from the Amboise chateau. The room was really spacious. All small details in the hotel contributed in a very authentic atmosphere. The only downside was the breakfast which was pretty basic.

We stayed here in November in the low season which made it a really good value place. It is right in the middle of the town and as we were there for the vintage we were able to join in the street fair which was a unique experience. Lovely big room with a huge bathroom and comfortable beds, beautifully decorated. The reception was very helpful even helping us pay the parking fine we incurred on the front. Beware the meter maids who home in on you with radar.
Amboise is a charming town and a great small place to stay whilst visiting the Loire
