The Chateau is built on a small island and surrounded by the water. Apart form nicely decorated furniture, they also have an exhibition of a pop cast and a big music box. The kids loved it.

We returned to Azay-le-Rideau after a period of 10 years to find this chateau wonderfully renovated. The interior furnishings are well done and the landscaping that surrounds the chateau reflects beautiful established trees and plantings, and shrubs and new plantings that exhibit a true commitment to maintaining this property.

The open flow of the chateau makes it a great visit on a sunny/cooler day with vistas from most of the rooms. New parking facilities adjacent to the chateau make it very easy to visit.

This was my favorite of five Château I visited. Pretty, with a lovely setting, not too big (like Chambord) and (when I visited at least) it had fun moving features in many of the rooms that gave the Château a warm, whimsical air. The grounds are also lovely for a stroll and a nice place to relax.

One of our most favorites of all the Chateaux de la Loire. Very charming and relaxing settings, gorgeous with surrounding parc. They put lounge chairs for you to lay around. Chateau is an easy walk from the village. No parking hassle, no crowd hassle. Easy relaxing visit. Worth the admission price!
