The place looks pretty and charming, however the food was a disaster. My mother had Coq-au-Vin for her main course and it was obviously microwaved and very chewy. I had a cod dish which was nothing special, but also found a large piece of plastic wrap in my vegetables. When I complained, I got a "bizarre" from the waiter, but no apology.

This is the kind of food you come to France to eat. Nothing excessively fancy - traditional dishes perfectly cooked. But contrary to the experience of a recent reviewer, we found the service some of the best we've ever experienced - calm, unobtrusive, observant and prompt. No special efforts were made to make friends with us, but who needs that? What we need is menus on the table as soon as you've sat down, food and drinks arriving promptly, and the bill coming just when you're ready for it. An additional bonus - and a refreshing change - no attempt to speak English to us, assuming until evidence arises to the contrary that we understand French, and will ask if we don't.

Food was very good here - especially the St.Jaques. As others have already noticed, service was quite offhand(ish) (though I wouldn't say rude or anything of the kind) which kind of spoilt the experience. But because of the food I would really recommend this place.

Blois from the point of view of a resident of the metropolis is a small city. But eat there no problem. As everywhere in France. However, this restaurant stands out. Typical cuisine of Lyon and very tasty, and here, in the Loire valley, is especially pleasant variety and surprises in the form of dishes from the chief - new every day. Well, and the wine list, though small, but decent and is not limited to wines of the Loire Valley, as in most other restaurants in the city. To 20.00 hours of availability in the restaurant almost none. So it's worth or book a table in advance, or come early, up to 20 hours... Bon appetite to all who will be in Blois!..

I was surprised to read that a few others hadn't enjoyed their experience here. This was recommended to us by our accommodation host as one of two restaurants to go to and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Prices were reasonable, food was very good local cuisine and our waitress was helpful. Would have no hesitation recommending this.
