We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay with Philippe in the Bleu de Loire room. His recommendation and booking a table for le bistrot du Cuisinier was much appreciated. The parking across the road after hours was free, but then remember to move your car to avoid paying metered parking. This place is a handy walk to everything and we recommend the hosts welcoming, and unobtrusive approach.

Charming little B& B right next to the cathedral. Excellent location in Blois. Parking is right outside but you don't need to put money in the meter until 9:00 in the morning (you're good from 6 pm to 9 am) It was a little tricky to find so make sure you look for a little brass plate with their name on it. There is no big sign so it's very easy to overlook. I passed it two times and still didn't know that I was there. The owner was very friendly, helpful and so pleasant. He showed me around, put the wine in the fridge to get cold, and even made hotel reservations for us for the following day.

The room had a Parisian flair to it as did the living area and dining room. We sat, had some wine and chatted with Philippe for a bit before he recommended a wonderful place for dinner. Ask him about the place by the chateau Chamborg. It was wonderful.

Breakfast was exceptional and the best we had in 9 days. They set such a pretty table with runners, gold plate chargers - very elegant and everything was delicious. He made a smoothie that was served in martini glasses that was delicious. They had croissants, baguettes, an assortment of jams, cheeses, ham, prosciutto, fresh cut up melon, strawberries and bananas and of course coffee, tea, hot chocolate and orange juice.

This was our first B & B in France and we were'nt dissappointed. Our room was small but adequate and the host was very accommodating. The highlight of the stay was the breakfasts. Of all the breakfasts we had in France these were by far the best - absolute highlight and a credit to Philippe and his wife. Location was perfect apart from the fact that we had to walk up a steep lane to get home (and it felt like home!) after a beautiful meal in the town just below. A wonderful town, and a great introduction to rural France and a really good B & B. My only concern was the fact the room was not serviced daily. This should have definately been done erach day but the breakfasts made up for this. Stay there! Merci Philippe.

We stayed at this lovely B&B for 4 nights last week. We couldn't have wished for more! The bedroom (top level) was large and very comfortable. The host, Philippe, is extremely welcoming and enjoys helping as much as possible. The breakfast was superb and all very fresh, served in a lovely, stylish dining room, accompanied by classical music. Overall, good value and a wonderful experience.

A wonderful breakfast in a lovely room but 'Bois de Rose' is very small room and very uncomfortable in hot weather. The door into the room is only about 4 feet high which makes it unsuitable for tall or big people or anyone claustrophobic. It wasn't very good value. There are 2 other rooms but as we did not see them I cannot comment, although I am sure one is very nice as it cost another €50 on top of what we spent. However, the host was very welcoming and helpful.

Room Tip: Be wary if you choose Bois de Rose

We stayed as family in this lovely B&B for 2 nights (2 bedrooms) after I read all the reviews. I have to say it was the best choice in Blois we could have made. Philippe the owner is incredible. He gave us a warm welcome arranged dinner and helped us with everything else as well. All three rooms are lovely and the house/area is so peachfull and quiet we almost overslept breakfast every morning...And that would have been quite a shame because the breakfast, Philippe is preparing is realy amazing. Is life motto is: make people happy - make them smile - and you realy can feel this in every corner of his lovely B&B.

Staying in this small B&B is just like staying with your French uncle. Located across the street from a picturesque church, the pay-as-you-go parking lot for the church is a great advantage to drivers. The genial host has acquired the fine art of being both welcoming and leaving you alone. I stayed in the blue room, which was comfortable, decorated in a homey way. The room one flight up from mine looked romantic in the pictures, but there were too many stairs...you need to be moderately fit to enjoy this house. The breakfast, typical continental style, was plentiful and varied, and is taken in the formal dining room of the house. A small dog is in residence, which added to my enjoyment, since I missed my own. There are sometimes off-season discounts in Winter. I took the owner's diner recommendation for Le Bistrot du Cuisnier and it was quite nice, located across the river, which gives you a chance to go over the old bridge and see Blois by night.
