Had a really good experience here. Was traveling with family, and had some transportation issues getting there. The hosts were really great, and helped us sort things out. They were very friendly, ending up talking to them for quite a while. The place is nice, but we didn't spend much time there during the day (busy sightseeing).

This is simply an excellent B&B! It is a beautiful old mill, renovated with respect for antiquity and all the elegance and comfort enjoyed by the traveler. There is a fine view from bedroom windows of the mill stream, and the grounds are lovely for walking---beware of the bluster of the goose! There are chickens roaming and fresh eggs for breakfast. Marina is an excellent chef, which you will especially appreciate if you stay for dinner one night. What a glorious meal! Marina's husband, Noel, is an excellent host, a British gentleman, filled with stories, opinions, and laughter. We stayed three nights since it is so well-situated in the Loire Valley and we enjoyed it all tremendously. We actually hated to leave. This B&B is memorable!

This is probably the nicest B&B I've ever stayed in. I haven't stayed in many, but Noel and Marina's hospitality were absolutely wonderful. The breakfast was great, the rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the property itself is amazing. We stayed here for two nights recently and I wished I could have stayed another night or two. We didn't dine with them, but if we had another night or two we probably would have. The property is gorgeous. It's an old mill (moulin), you can see the vestiges of it in and around certain parts of the house. They have a large property with a river running through it. In addition to their two black labs, they also have chickens and geese who are permanent residents on the property. This means fresh eggs every morning! Be warned though, the geese are aggressive and I got chased by one. But I was assured they're quite harmless.

Noel and Marina were nothing but helpful during our stay. They gave us suggestions of itineraries based on what we wanted to see. They mentioned the Saturday market in Blois. Even though I had recently been to Blois (by myself) and had seen the chateau, we went there to check out the market which was absolutely amazing. So many fresh and local foods!! I would not have bothered to stop in Blois again if it wasn't for their suggestion that we visit the market. When my car was nearly out of gas due to the self service stations rejecting my card, they helped me out as well.

The next time I go back to the Loire I hope to be able to stay here again.

This is the best Bed and Breakfast we have ever stayed at! (And we've been to many!) We went on our honeymoon to France for just over two weeks, and stayed in Monte Carlo, Chamonix, Bourges, Blois, and Paris. Our breif stay in Le Moulin des Charmes was absolutely the highlight of our trip! We were so pleasantly surprised with everything there- the house itself is so beautiful inside and out, and is very well-situated for touring around to the many chateaux in the area. The breakfast we were served was among the best quality of any food we had on the whole trip, and we were invited to dine with them one night on their lovely river-side patio for dinner, and that was perhaps the best dining experience of our lives! But the best part of this idillic place is neither the food nor the accomodations, (although both were incredible!) but the amazing hospitality of the owners, Noel and Marina. Talking with them over dinner was like meeting with dear old friends, and they went above and beyond to help us plan our day trips to the chateaux we wanted to see. They made excellent recommendations for other things we hadn't planned to see, and even made us a little map with directions on it to all the locations. When it came time to leave them, we were both truly sorry to go, and we will definitely be back! Next time we go to France, we will alot much more time to spend in the beautiful, peaceful countryside that the Loire Valley has to offer, and less time in the major cities. I really can't say it enough- go to this B&B! You will have a lovely time! Great conversation, very comfortable beds, beautiful food, serene riverside setting.

what a hidden gem, le moulin des charmes is! the setting is charming and lovely. the house is inviting and most comfortable. the hosts, including jimmy and roxy (2 friendly black labs) are warm and friendly, serving an apertif upon your arrival, brandy after dinner, and a scrumptious cook-to-order breakfast from their own hens. noel will give you a wonderful history and tour of the property and building which is an old mill built in 1150. this b&B is most highly recommended and while we normally travel to different spots each year (there's so much of the world to see), we will definitley come back to le moulin des charmes.

We cycled slightly off the beaten cycling track to arrive at this stunning old mill house in Molineuf near Blois. Noel and Marina were the perfect hosts and we loved the very comfortable accommodation which is to a high standard. Marina cooked us an excellent meal and Noel generously wheeled out a variety of wines to go with the meal, all for a very reasonable price. We hope to be able to go back one day and would certainly recommend them to anyone.

We stayed at Moulin des Charmes for three nights and our stay was one of the highlights of our time in France. Noel and Marina, our hosts, are two of the most charming people you could meet. Dinner prepared by Marina (you need to arrange this when you book) was certainly a highlight, the food was delicious, wine was well chosen to compliment the food and the conversation robust and stimulating. Breakfasts were also excellent, with eggs from the hens roaming in the garden cooked to your choice. Our room was beautifully decorated with an enormous bed - extremely comfortable. Molineuf is about 6km from Blois and we found it a good base for exploring this part of the Loire Valley.
