“Good attraction let down by poor organisation”

An enjoyable little museum and a good stage show let down by having no attempt at crowd management in the getting into and out of the theatre. It's worth the hassle, but it could be so much better very easily.

I'd "done" Chateau Blois (very good!) and was standing outside when I heard bells chiming. I turned round, saw shutters opening on windows and then....and then..... six dragons stuck their heads out of the windows!!
They started tuning their heads and looking at each other like the Siamese cats in "Lady And The Tramp" (yes, I am that old!) and were just amazing! (Feel free to add your own cliche.)

Have to confess that I didn't go in, but for a free show after you've done the chateau it's magic. (Sorry for that.)

2 adults and five children, travelled specifically into blois to see this attraction. Waited until 3.15 for the show, which only runs three times per day... 11.15, 3.15 and 5.15. We paid in, €9 per adult and €5 for 4 children over 6..... Entered into the room but could see no evidence of the "magic show" and returned to reception only to be told the show was full.... Couldn't believe that we had paid in and weren't advised that the main attraction was unavailable.. We were told that there was no refunds!

So we spent 20 minutes looking at the pretty lame exhibits on the ground floor before venturing up to the houdin museum which was avery boring for children and finally found the hallucinogenic room on the top floor, the five minutes we spent walking through there was entertaining but not enough to warrant the entrance fee!

We left feeling ripped off. The highlight of the trip was probably the golden dragons popping out through the windows but as these can be seen for free every 30 minutes, I would recommend people save themselves the entrance fee and watch from the square. Maybe the magic show was amazing!!!? But we will never know.

Very interesting if you love a little magic, even the show at the end catered for both children and adults worth a visit

There was very little magic on display. The room of illusions was totally lame. There was a show which might have been entertaining for kids. Actually, if you have young children this might be worth a visit. Otherwise go walking in the town.
