Lots of character and despite being a very old building, parts date back to 16 century, the bathrooms are very modern, and the rooms clean tidy, and in fact the whole building is clearly well loved! ( Don't usually say that about a hotel!)
It only has 7 rooms I think - we booked well in advance - and it was full the whole time we were there - so make sure you make a reservation!
Thierry, the owner/ manager, very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts very nice and the breakfast room/ restaurant very charming.
Location is great - right by the river and there is parking right by the hotel, some free, but even the payant area is cheap. 5 min walk to town centre/ chateau.
Blois itself is a perfect location for touring round. Apart from the Chateau the town itself is full of medieval character and has lively animation and lots of restaurants if you decide not to eat at the hotel.
If you want a hotel that matches the character of the places you will visit - Cote Loire is it!

Room Tip: Room 2 has a view onto the river - ours was room 1 at the back with no view , not that this bothered us.

Room #2 at the head of the stair's first floor ("second floor" for Americans) offers huge windows looking out over a small parking lot and over a river-side road adjacent to the Loire. The windows make the room very light and airy. (The windows in rooms on the upper floor appear to be much smaller.) The bed is very comfortable and there's enough space in the room that one does not feel cramped. (Sure, the place is a little oddly shaped and appears to have been remodeled several times but after all, the building has to be more than a century old!)
The best reason to select this place is its location, just a few blocks from the chateau and the center of Blois, free parking on the street opposite the hotel (or pay parking in an adjacent lot if the street parking is occupied), and peace and quiet - no bars, discos, or ambulance-served hospitals nearby.
The other great benefit if this accommodation is the dinner service - a very pleasant meal is available in a charming dining room. Not having to go out of the hotel to find dinner after a long day of sightseeing is a great treat!

We booked this hotel after reading the reviews here, and we weren't disappointed! The room was nice, maybe a bit small bathroom, but otherwise spacious. The breakfast was really good. The croissants were superb, and the baguettes were the best we've gotten in France. We had a room facing the street, and it could get a bit noisy sometimes when we wanted to have the window open during the night.

We had a meal in the restaurant as well one night, and I would absolutely recommend that, as well as the hotel!

Room Tip: Try to get a room that isn't facing the street if you are sensitive to noise.
