Being a cold blustery evening, we were greeted with a warm fire upon our arrival. After a wonderful bubbly house champagne drink, we chose a superb wild mushroom soup, which was followed by a delicious venison stew with mashed potatoes laced with cumin and a small portion of mixed veggies. The desserts were all so tempting and clearly house created, we had a hard time choosing. We chose one that was unusual , Grand Manier ice cream with chocolate and fruit trimmings .
Presentation was excellent and it was apparent that the meal was prepared for that evening and not something hauled out of the freezer and "warmed" up which is happening in so many restaurants these days.
This restaurant is run by two dedicated men. We highly recommend this restaurant for those that like creative, homemade meals and a pleasant and cosy ambiance.

Every year we stay at the wonderful and cozy hotel "Cote Loire" in Blois.
Walking distance to explore the historic center of Blois… Also one of the best restaurants
in all of France.
The owners are very kind and helpful..We have come back to this hotel every year for 6 years.

Small 7 room hotel, centrally placed, easy walking to shops, restaurants and chateau. Some rooms have a great view of the river. Limited free parking on the street outside the hotel, but there is a good free lot down the street. Free WiFi, computer for guests to use and some travel books available for reference.
Clean comfortable rooms. No elevator, so be prepared to walk up steps to get to your room.

Staying in an intimate, interesting little place like the Cote Loire is one of the big payoffs of independent travel. First of all, it occupies an unbeatable location overlooking the Loire River and is literally right around the corner from one of the best little cityscapes in all of France. Dating from the 16th century(I believe)-the room we stayed in had the anticipated tiny dimensions. This was no problem for our one night experience. Our room had a great view out of the window directly to where our car was parked and of the Loire River beyond. They have a TV and the bathroom was satisfactorily adequate. The best part of our experience was enjoying the freshly prepared, hand crafted three course meal in the dining room just off the lobby.(30 euro per person and worth it). One felt as if you were the pampered guest in a French home rather than in a restaurant. Thierry, our host, was unflaggingly patient, kind and helpful. The great part of staying here is the easy ability take a post dinner walk along the Loire or through the dreamy. medieval streets of Blois. We took the optional breakfast buffet the next morning (10 Euro per person) and it was well worth it. There is a car park right in front-very convenient-that is no charge after 6:30 PM.

We cannot speak highly enough about this wonderful establishment. The owners and their staff are excellent hosts and run a very professional and personal small hotel, with an intimate dining room. We used the Hotel as a base for exploring the Le Loir (a tributary of La Loire and much less commercialized) and the Chateaux in the area. The food was so good that we ate there again the following evening and we never, ever do that! The hotel is located ideally in the central area of Blois, next to the Musee de la Resistance and with very convenient parking. We certainly will return again.

We stayed here in September for 4 nights and really enjoyed the ambience of this authentic hotel. It is decorated throughout with period pieces and is very efficiently run with friendly staff! We ate in on 3 nights and the menu varied and we enjoyed trying several dishes! Would definately return if we were in the Loire again!

Small charming hotel. Excellent location - very close to river and to the town center. Very clean, spotless and comfortable room (however a bit small, but that's an average size of rooms). Very friendly and helpfull host. The bottom line - excellent stay.
