“A hidden gem...”

A fantastic quiet haven for visitors to Blois, Le Plessis offers gorgeous scenery and extremely high standard breakfasts. We were all impressed with the helpfulness of the staff and the comfortable room, which included a large bathroom, an air conditioning unit and a bowl of snacks and bottles of water. Every day they supplied us with fresh towels for the amazing pool. We were given a complimentary drink and snack upon arrival. The security gates were an added bonus. The breakfast room was unusual and had a theme every day.
Overall our stay at Le Plessis was everything you could have hoped from a B&B in France.
Recommended by the whole family, we loved it!!!

Le Plessis is a bed and breakfast inn at an old manor house. Guests' rooms are in a separate, modern building with decor that matches the manor house. The hostess seems to collect any antique that strikes her fancy and displays her collection in the dining room and guest rooms. We were in Blois on a bicycling holiday and the air conditioning and pool were a welcome relief on hot days.

The inn is a 35 minute walk from downtown with a steep climb in the middle, though I believe it is on a bus route. It's best to have a bike or car if you stay here.

Breakfasts are served very artfully in the dining room. Every morning we were eager to see with what theme our hostess decorated the table -- leaves, flowers, the ocean. The food was very good with pastries, baguette, a selection of meats and cheese, fruit and yogurt.

Le Plessis was an excellent choice to explore Blois and the surrounding area. The accommodations and the people was very good. I was so quiet I slept like a baby. The breakfast was amazing, there was so much slection and tasteed wonderful. I would definitely recommend to anyone. I would suggest that one requirement for staying here is a car. Le Plessis and Blois are so much nicer than Paris. Thank you.

We spent a night here in late September 2008. A beautiful house elegently decorated. It is set in a residential area - a short drive into Blois. If you don't have satnav make sure you bring a map of Blois.
The rooms were delightful and a modern bathroom. Great breakfast the next moring. Too cold to use the pool - but it looked inviting. Blois was a delightful town.

stayed at le plessis for 3 nights in July. we are a family of 4 with 2 children aged 12 & 9 and they thought the room and the breakfasts were absolutley fab. (and so did we !). we had the very large swimming pool to ourselves, the room was large with plenty of towels (for the bath & swimming pool) toiletries, bottled water and cakes/sweets/chocolates were complimentary and were much appreciated by the children.

the B&B is located on a "well to do" road but a car would be recommended for getting into Blois (about 5 mins) but parking is cheap/free and easily found. would recommend Blois for sightseeing - we took a horse drawn ride to get our bearings and the children enjoyed the magic house.

if you want to get into one of the regional/recommended restaurants then you do need to get there early though !

we very much prefer to stay in better quality B&Bs/guesthouses than large corporate hotels and whilst i am sure there were cheaper hotels in Blois we were very pleased with le plessis and would return.

This is an extremely well run B & B, large well appointed rooms, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. We only stayed one night but would love to return and stay longer. Large grounds with swimming pool. Blois is a lovely town in the Loire and extremely picturesque. Good value too.
