On a very wet and windy night in Bourges, two very bedraggled English tourists fell through the door of this wonderful restaurant to be warmly welcomed by a very pleasant young man and although we didn't have a reservation we were offered a table immediately. Dispensed of our wet coats and umbrellas we sat down relieved to have found a restaurant that was so beautifully set up. We were the first to arrive, but the restaurant soon filled with local people, which is always a good sign. Our meal which was superb was accompanied by a 1999 Sancerre, which was like liquid gold, so smooth. I would also like to mention the cheese table which had such an excellent selection we were spoilt for choice, what a lovely change from the usual bland 3/4 choices usually offered. This restaurant has a very well deserved Michelin star and I would thoroughly recommend it for fine dining.
