My friends and I ate here on the 24th May 2018. Food was delicious and service excellent. Staff were warm and welcoming. The owner showed us photos of the renovation of the restaurant which were amazing.
For his main course my husband had the pigeon and I had veal as part of the set menu which we would both highly recommend.
Both food and wine were very reasonably priced and excellent value for money.

I had written a review of this restaurant last year and mentioned the bad service. We tried again this year and it was worse.

We took 5 French guests to this restaurant on a Sunday in September 2013. I had called several days earlier to make a reservation and asked for a quiet room because we have an elderly person who is very sensitive to noise. When we arrived, we were placed right next to a party of at least 20 people celebrating a birthday. It was almost laughable. I asked if we could move but was told that the other table in the other room was set up only for 5 people.

The service was slow but the worse part was the extremely unfriendly servers. Not a smile, not a word.They all acted like robots. We had to ask for bread 4 times and each time, we'd get a few slices (for a party of 7). The young man who handle the cheese cart was especially unfriendly and borderline rude.
The first bottle of wine (40 euros) was mediocre. The second bottle (50 euros) was acceptable. We all had the 35 Euro meals. The presentation was very nice and the food was good, except for the "pigeonneau" which was not cooked enough even though it was ordered "a point".
To make this event even worse, when it came time to pay the bill, the machine would not accept my American Visa card. I had used the same card last year with no problem. The owner explained that they had new machines and that they had not yet been programmed for cards without a chip. It was an embarrassing situation since we did not have the cash to pay the bill. One of our French guests offered to use her card.

Obviously we will not return to this restaurant. We have been there many times before but the service is getting worse and worse. The request to give us a quiet area was totally ignored and no apology was offered. The service is truly the worse service I've received in one month in Europe.
