The definitely womens touch is plain to see ; the chateax is really impressive and we also did the night walk ( additional 6eu , but worth it) . there is baroque music being played and you are afraid to be trampled by some passing night on his war horse in shining armor....

The place is really nice by itself, thought not as big as it looks on the pictures. But way to many people. The security is not really nice, there are no pick unique allowed on the area, OK we got it. But the security asking if we have any sandwiches? Really? If you like crowded places you should go.

Stunning Chateau situated over the River Cher, steeped in both history and beauty! We arrived late in the evening after a full day of touring and were not disappointed. Bonus to arriving later is that the crowds were nearly non-existent and we were able to take our time to savor each room. Gardens were beautifully maintained and deserve your full attention.

Only regrets were that we wished that we had left enough time to rent a row boat and if we did not have a long journey back we would have stayed for the evening garden show & wine tasting.

Chenonceau castle is definitely impressive. The bridge is integrated in the structure of the castle as It connects the opposite banks of the river. The castle itself is situated in the beautiful garden. The property has many facilities such as fast food restaurant where you can eat for little money. I think it is worth to take a boat and sail around the castle as the best photos you can take from there. During your trip you only must be prepared for the crowds of people which is the most bothersome inside the castle.

This chateau was very impressive and surrounded by extensive grounds through which you must walk to reach the main attraction (yes, quite a distance). The interior was quite sparsely furnished with the age of the tapestries and soft furnishings unquestionable. Photos of the rooms were difficult at times due to the dim lighting and many other visitors. Whilst our visit was rushed, we were taken with the exquisite view and the romantic setting of the chateau upon the water.
