We had high expectations with this restaurant. Most people were having the set course menus so we did the same...not so sure this was a great idea.
I had the salad with goats cheese. Quite peppery/bitter salad mixture and strong cheese but nice. The terrine was ok. For our mains I had the steamed fish sitting on grated vegetable in a basket.......Absolutely delicious!!!
My husband had the confit Duck.it was very fatty as it was well fried but also had a large layer of duck fat on the meat . This was served with fried chips and a salad. He was very disappointed and was looking forward to more actual duck meat. We have mixed feelings about this place and it largely depends what you order. The staff were charming and the service quick. It's packed most nights by locals so that says something I guess. For us though we found a few other restaurants nearby that we preferred based on all 3 courses .
