“Just like visiting a good friend”

We were blown away by our visit to the Loire valley, and it was all thanks to Dominique and her wonderful service. From our very first e-mail for information, Dominique was friendly, professional, and very prompt in her replies. We stayed for two days and one night. We had thought to visit four of the chateaus during our visit, but Dominique helped us by recommending a few others that we could include along the way, and we were able to see six in two days. There is no way we could have done that on our own.

The house is beautiful. The room is very spacious, and full of windows overlooking a beautiful garden. The room is immaculately clean. Breakfast was delightful, with great coffee, orange juice, baguette, croissant, fresh fruit and preserves, including some homemade ones.

As for the car service, I would absolutely recommend this to anyone visiting the area. There was no stress at all, as Dominique knows all the roads and shortcuts to get you where you need to be. Dominique was very patient with us as we sorted out our schedule of what to do, and as noted above was able to provide excellent recommendations for additional stops along the way including additional chateaus, cafes, and a wine tasting. We were able to take our time to see each chateau at our leisure, and when we were done Dominique was there waiting for us with a smile to continue our journey. We never felt rushed, and Dominique was able to keep us on schedule, as she knows approximately how long each chateau would take to visit.

Dominique is a gracious host who speaks English impeccably well. It was great to have someone to translate for us, since one of us spoke no French at all. Her kind demeanor and wonderful sense of humor really made us feel as thought we were visiting a good friend who wanted us to stay with her and have her show us the sights. It was truly a great experience that I would recommend to anyone who is visiting the Loire Valley.

We had a fantastic and very warm stay at Dominique's place. It was a romantic little cottage with a beautiful garden just outside the door. Very well maintained and clean place. We had good breakfast on both the days we stayed there . Specially made hot choc for us :-)
The place was just the same as the pictures posted on airbnb. Loved the fact that the toilet and bathroom was clean 100%.
The couple were a very friendly and understanding host. Simply felt like home away from home.

We will definitely stay here the next tiem we are in Tours..

Mary and I spent 4 fabulous nights with Dominique, and we both came away saying it was one of the best holidays we have had together. We couldn't fault any aspect of the stay, as the accommodation & transport were extremely comfortable, and Dominique was very happy to share her vast knowledge of the Loire Valley region. We consider ourselves lucky to have come across this fantastic option - it's simply a great for anyone looking for the perfect 4 days in a beautiful region, just an hour from Paris by TGV, with the perfect hosts providing everything you need - including space! Well done Dominique! Cheers, Graeme & Mary Neville

My mother and I stayed at the Loire Bed and Car for three nights in November, right before Thanksgiving. Dominique was a fabulous hostess. She picked us up from the train station, which was superb since we had just arrived from the US that day (and indeed, she took us back again at the end of the trip). She gave us a great orientation of Tours on the way to her home, and provided a map of Tours as well so we could do some exploring for dinner. The next two days, she drove us around the countryside to several beautiful Chateaux--this was actually a great time for touring too, because there were still flowers in bloom, and while a bit chilly and rainy, there were no lines and relatively few other tourists to contend with. As others have stated, while we were touring, Dominique would wait for us with the car. She was actually preparing for a choir concert at the time, so we would come back to find her singing! She also took us wine-tasting and acted as our translator with the wine-maker, where our only regret was that we couldn't buy more! Breakfast was croissants and bread and fresh fruit and yoghurt, and after her trip to a farmer's market, even included a divine little jar of a honey-blackberry jam--perfect! The room was great--warm and cozy and perfect for a little nap to catch up from jet lag. The view into the garden is very pretty and calming. The toilet is separate from the main room and shower room, but it's all within the same private space. I quite liked the separation of the shower and toilet for multiple people getting ready in the morning. Dominique also made us dinner reservations the second night and drove us to the restaurant on account of the rain--so nice! I would highly recommend staying with Dominique at Loire Bed & Car. We were so grateful not to have to rent a car and get ourselves lost in the countryside--we got to see so much more this way, and relax while doing it.

During our trip to France in the Summer of 2012 we stayed for a night with Dominique and it was absolutely wonderful. Dominique's english is very good and she has a very good sense of humour. She drove us around to several Castles in the area and was very nice and polite. In the evening she gave us several restaurant recommendations and even drove us into the town center. The room was extremely comfortable and her house is beautiful. The garden is absolutely delightful and the french breakfast was delicious. Staying here was like going to a relatives house. Would recommend it 100% to anybody looking for a nice and comfortable place to stay and also learn about the French culture.

My husband and I stayed with Dominique when we visited the Loire Valley in September 2012. Dominique is such a lovely welcoming host who speaks English very well.
The house is about a 15 minute walk to the station and there are shops close by. The bus stop is very close and very cheap to get up to the station or tourist office.
Dominique has only one room that she uses for the B&B, so you are the only guests, the room is lovely and bright with lots of windows looking out into the pretty walled garden. Very quiet at night and the bed was very comfortable. There is a lovely modern bathroom, with everything you need.
The room is very spacious, clean and brightly decorated, with big comfy pillows.
There is a lounge which you can use to read or watch tv and there is free wifi.
Dominique prepared a lovely breakfast of pastries, bread, fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice and tea/coffee, and she will cook eggs for you if you ask. Breakfast is in her lovely kitchen/dining room which looks out into the garden.
We would highly recommend staying with Dominique and her husband Michel. They made our visit to the Loire Valley very enjoyable.

Room Tip: You are the only guests, catch the bus into town, very cheap and you can get the train to a lot of t...
