“Prize winning potager and prize winning wine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2012

Chateau de Valmer is a real family owned chateau and enterprise. The Count de Saint Venant produces an excellent Vouvray, having just won a top prize last year. His son now also works with him, so visits and tastings are with the owners sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm and family tradition with you. The Countess de Saint Venant is an internationally acclaimed garden expert, a graduate of the Versailles school, with extensive knowledge on it seemed to me, every plant existing! Her flower garden itself is both romantic and classic French style, but the potager is absolutely original. Makes you a vegetarian in an instant too!
