We stayed four nights in this hotel , we walked from the main station in Tours , it takes about 10 minutes with a suitcase , it is situated very close to the main shopping street in Tours and there is a local supermarket which you can buy food , drinks etc. The room we had was at the back of the hotel and we were surprised how large the bed was and was very comfortable. The room was really quite and you could sleep with the window opened , every day the room was very well cleaned and towels replaced. The shower and bath was good , with plenty of hot water , we did not have the breakfast but went to the local boulangerie for cheap fresh croissants . It was easy to walk to all the main attractions and bars and parking is available next door in a public car park where you can leave your car overninght. Tours is a lovely town , very clean , friendly and safe and a great base to tour the chateau region. Would definitly stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are less noisy.

Our two-day stay was in one of the very best ca. two-star hotels we have ever stayed at in Europe over the last 34 years. Friendly and helpful family operated, extraordinarily well crafted and maintained and within a few minutes from important sites in Tours. Our room was very quiet with no street noise even though we were on the street. I cannot imagine a more perfect small hotel suitable for conservative traveling. Standard excellent continental breakfast. A coffee/tea warmer pot would have been appreciated.

My brother and I stayed here for two nights not long ago. The location of the hotel is great. It took about 10-15 minutes to walk to the hotel from the train station and was right off the main shopping area. Place Plumereau with all of its restaurants was about 10 minutes away (walking distance).

The staff was all very pleasant and helpful and they spoke English well enough for us to get everything we needed. The bedrooms and beds were comfortable albeit a bit small but that is to be expected in small European hotels. The bathroom was also a bit small but not tiny. We didn't partake of the breakfast as it seemed very expensive - there are boulangerie's around the corner where you can pick up croissants and coffee for a fraction of the cost.

This isn't a top-end hotel but we weren't expecting it to be. The hotel was affordable and it worked out very nicely with our plans to see the city of Tours and some of the chateau in the Loire Valley.

We came to this hotel by chance after our vehicle broke down , tour was not a place we intended to visit.
However we were pleasantly surprised , good location in the centre of tours, decent sized bedrooms ,and showers.
The staff here were great, their basic English was better than our school learnt French.
Breakfast was very good lovely fresh bread, croissants with a selection of meats and cheeses.
In all they helped make the unpleasant experience of breaking down an enjoyable couple of nights.

Room Tip: We had room 27 but think all are same standard.

This was a lovely old style hotel right in the heart of Tours. We arrived on 2 motorbikes in pouring rain and stepped into a warm, welcoming foyer. A lovely young man greeted us and was very helpful with information about the area and local restaurants. There is parking next door but I had already emailed to ask about parking and was told that as we had bikes we could park in the hotel garage for free. After the journey we'd had that was very much appreciated! The rooms were old fashioned but to us that added to the appeal as they would have looked wrong to be all modern and contemporary. We were cold, wet and tired and needed a hot bath to soothe aching muscles. The bath was very comfortable and relaxing (I could have stayed in there all night!). We had a lot of difficulty finding the hotel but that was because there are tramlines being laid through the city so a lot of roads are blocked off at the moment. The position of the hotel was ideal and within easy walking distance of shops, bars and restaurants, but it was still peaceful at night. We didn't have time to visit the old town part of the city but on the map provided by the hotel it wasn't far away and would have been an easy stroll. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.
