Moet et Chandon Champagne Cellars

Everything was arranged well in this quite pricey tour. You'll be in cellars and see lots of champagne bottles and as well you get to know how champange is made and of course the history od Moet et Chandon. When you have visited one cellar and heard how champagne is made, it is enough. It is recommeded to book your visit beforehand.

A real treat - our 9 year old also really enjoyed it as the tour wasn't too long. If you can go for the Grand Vintage tasting as you get to taste some fabulous Grande Vintage champagnes.

The iconic Möet et Chandon brand is tremendously well represented in this magnificent establishment. Our guide, Marie, told the story with wit and a great deal of knowledge. The tastings were delicious and the attractions of the gift shop irresistible. We first visited Möet 19 years ago. It has got even better with time. Not cheap, but an authoritative introduction to one of the world's definitive luxury brands. Absolutely not to be missed!

The tour was fairly interesting and I am glad that I went on it, but overall I was left disappointed in the company's respect for their customers.

Perhaps I am rather naive, but I would expect any producer who invites their customers for a tour and tasting to then provide the opportunity to purchase their goods at a good price. There is no middle man involved, you are buying direct from the producer, so why would they not be able to offer a reduction in comparison with other sellers of their product? We bought a couple of bottles of their champagne after the tour, then found exactly the same product on sale approximately 200m down the road at 15% less than we paid in the Moet and Chandon gift shop. I was very unhappy by this, but credit to the staff, they did provide a refund.

I will not be buying Moet and Chandon in future - it's nothing but a multinational corporation of "luxury" products. Although the tour was interesting, I found it amusing how much they laboured the "family" history of the brand when it is actually owned by the Moët-Hennessy-Louis Vuitton luxury goods company and the original family has nothing to do with the company any more.

So overall, if you love Moet-Chandon champagne, and don't care how much it costs, then enjoy your visit.

Moet & Chandon has such an important role in the champagne history, with a very friendly staff you quickly are taught the interesting facts about Champagne and why Moet & Chandon plays such a significant role in the History.

The tastings are always nice and though the tours are not the cheapest choice of activities, I must say that it was worth the experience.
