We went as a family of 4 to visit this immaculate establishment, both a working vineyard and a piece of living history. The press dates back to 1931. One of the proprietors gave us an hour of his time explaining the mechanics of the process, leaving us not only better informed but hopefully a little wiser. The wine itself is simply tremendous and well worth the short drive out of Epernay. A knowledge of French is recommended in order to derive maximum benefit. Highly recommended!

We stopped here after looking on trip advisor, and it was well worth the drive. We went to Moët et Chondon in the morning. While very impressive, because of the number of people that go there it seems a little too business like. We wanted to see the opposite end of the spectrum. We were met in the parking lot by on of the family that owns the champagne house. After the tour he gave us which was sometimes a challenge ( because of our lack of French). He was a joy to tour with, and after visiting with him in the tasting room, we purchased several bottles and went on our way. It was a great experience made better because of the personal attention we received.

We learnt about this place throught tripadvisor and visisted Domi last week end. It is actually a very nice experience. We met one of two owners, Thierry, and he showed us the place and made us try his Champagne. I am not a Champagne expert and I cannot judge the Champagne, but the experience overall is very plesant and was perhaps the best thing we did ijn our trip in the region.

We've been to the "grandes maisons" (Moët et Chandon and Mumm, for example), which are impressive, but also polished, cold, and a true herd experience. If you would prefer a more intimate glimpse into a family operation in the company of one of the owners/winemakers, Champagne Domi is the place to visit. The fact that it's off the beaten path (a fifteen minute drive from Epernay at most) means that, like us, you will likely have the tour to yourselves. You'll receive a hearty welcome from one of the two brothers who share responsibility for the entire operation and who know everything there is to know about champagne production. Stéphane Lutz normally handles the indoor end of the business, including tours, but he was unavailable when we arrived and we only met him in passing. His brother Thierry, who normally attends to the vines and all the outdoor aspects of the winery, did the honors as tour guide in our case, and he was both charming and informative. He exuded enthusiasm for his noble profession (and, when it came time to sample a few of their wines, did not hesitate to join us in a glass.) They sell a half dozen variations at prices from fourteen to twenty euros, and you will be hard-pressed to find a better value, given the excellent quality of their champagnes. In short, this was a memorable experience that far exceeded any I have had in the vaunted houses along the avenue de Champagne, thanks largely to the warmth of the welcome and the truly personal nature of the interaction.

Really nice people who were still in the middle of harvest but spared some time for us. The champagnes were perhaps not top class but very reasonably priced.
