Stayed at Hotel Azur for one night when travelling back to the UK from the south of France. Location was perfect, right in the centre of Reims. When we checked in we were made to feel very welcome by the owner despite the fact he spoke little English and we spoke little French. We were given maps of the local area and advised about a place we could purchase champagne outside of the tourist area which was about 10€ cheaper than central Reims. We paid 10€ for secure overnight parking which we would recommend. Rooms were quirky, clean and comfortable, as was the reception area. Overall, I would recommend Hotel Azur if you're looking for affordable and friendly accommodation in the centre of Reims.

Right in the centre of the town, parking available if booked in advance alternatively public parking near by.
The owner was very friendly and smiley. Our room was nice and clean. We decided to have breakfast for 8.40 euros each and we were happy about that.
Note that check in is from 2 pm and the hotel does not have a lift, good legs required.
The hotel worked very well for our night stay after a quick visit of the town.we were given a voucher for a free aperitif at l' edito brasserie and we then decided to have dinner there. Do not go, it's a very touristy, average restaurant with boring food.
Next time we will choose one of the restaurants around the hotel, that area is more interesting.

It was a shame that this hotel did not live up to expectation. The room was strangely laid out with the toilet and wash room separated by the bed. I found all the prescriptive signs annoying and breakfast managed to put us off booking any more breakfasts in France. The shower head was fixed at waist height which made washing my hair really difficult. The staff were certainly friendly and the place was clean - I just wouldn't go back.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, providing maps and recommendations. The parking, though had to be paid for, was good value due to parking restrictions in Reims and the fact it was completely secure. Rooms simple but stylishly furnished and clean. Hotel is also quiet and so we got a good nights sleep. Breakfast did come at an extra charge but given the price of the room and quality of the served breakfast (no self service here!) was worth every penny. Location is great to see centre of Reims. It was a bit difficult to find and get to in Reims one way streets. Some people may not like lack of lift and the fact that the shower was at waist height and so had to be held.

Have been here two years on the trot, this time for two nights. You will have read about the funny little signs which are rather odd but not irritating. The helpful one is to remind you that you need not help yourself to the breakfast items. They will bring everything to you. And you can ask for more if you want. The receptionists are very helpful. They suggested restaurants and an excellent Champagne tour.
158 Euros for two of us for two nights including the breakfast at 8 Euros. You need a code to get in after a certain time and the reception is not covered in the afternoon. Check the web site. Rooms vary but are nicely decorated individually.
Down a quiet street and near the centre of town. Covered parking nearby if required.

Me and my husband spent to days in this charming hotel. Our idea was only to know some Champagne Houses, but we got very surprised... First with Reims that is an incredible city and also with the Hotel Azur... Every detail is organized to make you feel a special guest... Thank you Dominique and David for your attention and for your great tips.

We stayed here on a road trip round Europe and although this is a good place considering the high cost of everything in Reims be aware it is a very nice "budget" hotel. The hotel is central, the staff friendly and professional and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable but as expected tiny. There is no lift so people bothered by that beware but it made no difference to us even on the top floor. Only complaint was the hook to hang the shower head in the minuscule cubicle is at waist height - and I just can't think of any reason why it's not hung at head height...

Feeling that maybe I'm being harsh with an average rather than good rating but when you compare it to every other budget place we stayed over two weeks it doesn't compare so well.

On a subsidiary note we would not return to Reims as in the 10 years since we were last there it has become a little "tourist trappy". When we go again we will stay outside in one of the beautiful places on the champagne trail and go for a day trip in to Reims to see the amazing cathedral.
