The hotel provides spacious suite rooms with great amenities at the price of regular hotels. Bathroom is big and has both a shower and a bathtub. The free bread provided at the lobby was excellent. Together with the microwave food sold at the front desk (reasonable price), it's enough for a light dinner. Service was not as good, though. Also the hotel is located at the opposite side of downtown from the train station, so it is not as easy to get around.

The hotel is quite new, room was large and clean and staff was very kind. good possibilities and price for the parking. Good deal from the hotel to visit champagne cellars (about 30% reduction). City center is 10 minutes walk

Our problem was with the wifi. We had to be sitting by the door of our room for it to work at all. iPhone 5c worked best, 4 hardly at all. Nice clerk let us try another room which was no better. Toilet room was like an airline lavatory. Good sized room, clean, nice staff.

Situated just north of Reims train station, this is a perfect stop on the way across France. The hotel is a 10 minute walk under the station to the main shopping streets and restaurants (15 minutes to the cathedral). There is parking next door or if full in the multistorey car park (7.50e per night), the rooms are a good size, very clean and the bed is comfortable. The bath, shower and separate toilet are in a purpose built pod in the room, with hanging and shelf space, a safe and a small area with fridge, kettle and microwave. Downstairs there is a bar, breakfast, and reception area as well as a small food shop (microwave meals, sandwiches and snacks). The staff are friendly and all speak French and English. The included breakfast is really good, hot scrambled or boiled eggs and bacon, a good selection of breads and viennoiserie, fresh fruit, fruit salad and compotes, yoghourt, cereals and juices. Excellent coffee and a selection of teas. This is really good value, despite having to pay for parking. There is NO swimming pool (see star ratings below) I couldn't get rid of the stars!

Room Tip: The hotel is right by the rail line. We stayed here during the recent train strike so there were no...

We arrived after a very bad train ride (strike and did not get a seat). Hotel very close to train station. Upon our arrival I noticed the champagne out on the small bar and remembered the reason for our visit. Checked in and front desk answered several questions and gave us a map. Very good front desk service the entire stay. Dropped the kids off in the room and wife and I enjoyed champagne with the free cheese and sausage on the bar. I was now relaxed and ready to explore. The room was modern and clean. Bed was very comfortable and I slept like a baby. The bathroom very nice and included a bathtub and shower with nice amentities. The only complaint about the hotel was the overpriced breakfast. We just went to the monop and train station for our breakfast.

We stayed as a family, spanning 2 rooms. The rooms were modern and clean. Only comment is that the bathroom looks like it comes from a modular design.

The hotel is 4 minutes walk to the station, and 10 minutes walk into the central town where there are loads of restaurants and bars. Also 10 minutes walk away is a large park, where you can easily enjoy a picnic.

We had breakfast, and it was great to see they catered for the "eggs and bacon" crowd, and also the continental "cheese and meats" crowd. Do try the yogurt when you're there!

I've had great experiences at other Novotel properties, so this hotel was disappointing. Let's start with the rooms. The decor is like something from a 1980's cruise ship, boat flooring in your tiny bathroom, plastic surfaces, and dated colors. Maybe they raided an old boat to furnish the hotel? Despite having a non-smoking room, ours reeked of smoke. The location is poor, right on the railway line and you have to walk through the train station or a creepy roadway tunnel to get to the city center. Later at night the rail station closes so the detour through the tunnel is your only option. Finally, we were not told that breakfast was extra. There were no signs in the breakfast area explaining additional charges, nor did any staff in the breakfast area explain this during our stay. (Some staff did come by mid-breakfast each day to inquire our room number). So we were fairly surprised to be billed for a rather pricey breakfast. The breakfast was completely mediocre. In fact I could barely find anything I wanted to eat, so I certainly wouldn't have eaten there had I known it wasn't included. The staff was rude when we challenged this and pointed to a list of breakfast pricing, very small and unassuming, on a digital sign under the daily weather behind the desk. Now I've done pretty significant travel for both business and holiday around North America and Europe. I'd say the majority of basic, business style hotels with continental breakfast that includes 1-3 hot items, where you serve yourself, cook your own toast, etc. are included with the stay. If not I can't remember a time it wasn't either clearly posted or explained. So this was pretty lame along with the rudeness of the staff when we inquired about the lack of visibility into the pricing. The staff was even reluctant to give us an itemized bill with details when we checked out, which is pretty atypical for most hotel chains of this caliber. So yeah, I'll opt for a different hotel next time I stay in this area of France. And I might recommend you do too.

Room Tip: Hotel faces a railroad track, though we didn't notice any noise, light sleepers could request a...
