Good bistro style bar restaurant a stone's throw from cathedral. Not quite mixing it with the trendy bars in the pedestrians area but it doesn't need to. Good wine selection, especially champagne. Menu simple but limited. Large fresh salads at approx Euro20. Staff attentive and friendly. If you want a good lunch or early tea, watch the world go by then you are in thecright place.

We had a tasty lunch in a charming, eclectic cafe that had terrific service. It seemed to be busy with both locals and tourists. A nice place to watch people stroll by.

Nice settings, good food, great champagne, cool waiters. Absolutely recommend! I was there with my family, we were trying to find somehing for a light evening meal in pretty deserted city. The cafe was pretty full and had a long, nice selection of champagnes. We could not find any better. The food was simple but tasty, desserts were great. All of us enjoyed the evening.

After touring the beautiful Reims cathedral, we strolled about 200 meters to have lunch at this cafe, located on the main street Myron Herrick (beware the street cars) located prominently with orange awnings just across from what looks like city hall. It has a flashy art deco interior that makes you think it might be a tourist trap, but on the contrary it had terrific food and plenty of locals. The duck and ham were both exceptional. The small potatoes were exquisite The salads were perfectly crisp and fresh. One of the best lunches we have had in France.

This old-school cafe is clearly a favorite of Reims locals. It's the perfect place to sit with a glass of beer or wine -- or, this being champagne country, champagne -- and watch life in this delightful cathedral city glide past, on foot or in the fancifully pastel-colored electric trams that stop right outside at regular intervals. The cafe proudly advertises itself as being in business "since 1930," but the interior decor, all colored glass, mirrors and elaborate chandeliers, is more Art Nouveau than Art Deco, filled with well-turned out older French ladies who may have occupied these booths for decades. Oh, yes -- there's food, too, of the brasserie kind, so if you like that kind of thing, this is the kind of thing you'll like. The salads are the safest bet, fresh and generously portioned.
