Good location, just a 5 minute walk from the city centre and 10 mins from the cathedral. Ample parking in the train station carpark behind the hotel for which the hotel provides a discounted parking ticket. Staff very friendly. Good breakfast which is excellent value.

Stayed here enroute to Italy - a much welcomed break. Arrived late but Manager had agreed to keep the restaurant open for anyone wanting something to eat. Staff helpful and first impressions were pleasing. Went straight to our rooms for a much needed sleep! Although small (I find typical Ibis) they were very clean and had everything you needed, comfy beds etc. Breakfast in the morning was a little confusing,we were told the restaurant opened at 7.30am (we were to be on our way straight after breakfast) but didnt open until 7.45, the lady refilling the baskets and coffee etc wasnt going to be rushed! Layout of the breakfast room/restaurant was also a little chaotic, I expect with fewer people using it there would not be a problem, but with two coaches setting out at the same time, it was crammed in places. Saying that the food was good and there was alot of choice .

The great advantage is the location. Once you have found how to get there (follow directions to the train station) you are only 10 minutes walk from the Cathedral and less to the main street which is thickly covered in restaurants of all kinds. The Cazoneve champagne house is on the same street. This is a busy area so some traffic noise is expected and even more so the back of the hotel overlooks the main station. Public transport, trams, buses and taxis converges on the station. There is also a helpful tourist information office outside the station.

The twin room was small, basic and short on hanging space/drawers, but it was clean and the beds very comfortable. The en-suite shower room was poky but well maintained with an excellent shower and constant hot water. As ever in France the towels were thin and there was an all in one shower/hair gell .The TV worked and had some English programmes. There was no where to sit and no tea-making facilities. A machine in the foyer dispensed soft drinks and water at reasonable prices. There is free internet access

Breakfast was the usual ham, cheese, breads etc. No eggs or hot dishes except a rather solid potato based omelete. Fresh coffee if one prefers that to a machine. The dishes were regularly replenished so everything was available.

Throughout the hotel and on the website a restaurant was advertised with 24/7 room service. and an extensive menu. This is a cruel lie. We arrived quite late after a long journey and expected to be able to eat almost immediately. Rather brusequly and without apology we were told we would find plenty of eating places a few minutes away.
Returning later we felt like a last drink and coffee in the small bar. It took ages to find a member of staff who made it clear we were a nuisance and wanted paying in cash. I would endorse other comments; the staff were not friendly or interested.

This sounds negative, but if you want somewhere for a few days, reasonably priced, centrally located, clean, adequate with a filling extensive breakfast you will find the Ibis ideal. Incidentally, as you will be eating out please note that restaurants get very busy at weekends and you are advised to book in advance

Room Tip: rooms at the back overlook the station and do suffer from noise, especially the incessant announceme...

Stayed here for one nighten-route to Italy, our room overlooked the Rail Station but it did not cause any problems, having said which we did have the windows closed during our stay. The reception staff were not the most helpful we have encountered, information was available but was a bit like pulling teeth, everything had to be asked for with nothing voluteered. The room was small but adequate for an overnight stay, Internet was available and the connection speed was reasonable. In short it does everything it says on the tin, budget accomodation for the traveller.

Room Tip: As has been said before, try for a room facing the street if rail noise is likely to keep you awake.

Conveniently located next to the train station. My room was sparse, but clean and had everything I needed for a one night stay. My only complaint would be the noise. If your room is facing the train station and you're sensitive to noise, do see if they have any other rooms available or else you'll be dreading the SNCF chime and announcements at the train station below that continue late into the night and start early in the morning.

Hotel was located within walking distance from the train station and to the main street where there are many cafes and restaurants. Room was clean and service was with a smile
