The hotel appears to not be in the heart of Reims but in reality is only a minute or two pleasant walk from all the places of interest. The rooms were exceptionally well sound proofed (we overlooked the railway station and heard nothing until the window was opened). Air con and facilities all as expected from the brand.
We will be staying there again.

Easy to book, and request (and get) a really quiet room in this Ibis, which is really convenient for the city centre. The staff were all very consistent in greeting us and offering help. The bed was large and comfortable, and the room was good, although the bathroom was a bit of a squeeze! Breakfast was fresh, with good coffee, and the parking in the station car-park was cheap and worked well. The hotel was quite difficult to find, as it is set back in a little alleyway off a small access road from the Boulevard Joffre, and we could have done with instructions on how to reach it. And no coffee/tea-making facilities or fridge in the room, but at least the bar offered hot drinks at all times. But it was the staff who made this hotel special -nothing was too much trouble. Will go again.

Room Tip: Not overlooking the station

If you are staying a night or two in lovely Reims- itself a huge and pleasant surprise, it's gleaming golden stone centre beautifully renovated and pedestrianised with loads of parks- this Ibis had a great location. You can spot it easily enough from the avenue Boulevard Joffre front of the station but you access from a tiny side road- look for signs to the station car park where you can park below your room for a discount rate of around €6,5 (take ticket on exiting car park a d hand it in to reception. They will put your charge on your bill and give you an exit ticket). The rooms are standard Ibis, with hair drier and shampoo (the Inis Budget brand doesn't have these) tv, a/c and good optional buffet breakfast. Good soundproofing and curtains to block light. Friendly service as with all Ibis I know. From the hotel cross the road and walk across the park to the old centre and superb gothic cathedral which has occasional son Et lumiere shows worth watching. Good place to stop en route to the south. To get to the hotel from the A8 follow signs to the railway station not the cathedral or centre. To get back on the A8 is easy and well signed from the hotel down boulevard Joffre ( the hotel has good free city maps).

Perhaps not the place for a luxurious holiday but then that is not what it claims to be.

It is totally satisfactory for a short stay with clean fresh bed-linen, plenty of hot water, and now, after renovation, quiet rooms, even though the station is so close. The new double-glazing and air-conditioning make for a very comfortable stay. Breakfast too, perfectly satisfactory and very generous for the modest price.

Stoped off en-route to lake Garda ,hotel with rooms at rear veiw overlooking the railway station.(I love trains so this was good)not so good is the fact the parking is in the railway station and you have to pay.
The best part about this was the Cathedral and the 10 pm computerised light show ,well worth a visit ,also plenty of places to eat just over the green in front of the station .
