The Hotel is well-situated and, although in the shadow of a fly-over and near the A344, it is surprisingly quiet. Car parking is easy and was free at the weekend. The cathedral and other delights are a short walk away.
Usual Ibis hotel except that there did not seem to be air conditioning. I arrived on one of the hottest weekends of the year and, despite a desk fan (which I had to switch off after a while due to its noise), I sweltered.
Breakfast was OK.
Thank you for your message. Indeed, we don't have air-conditionning but we haven't known a summer as hot as this year. This is why we had placed fans in all our rooms.
We hope to see you again,
We stayed at this hotel at the end of October for 2 nights.
It is easy to find, about 15 minutes walk from the train station.
It is close to an overhead bridge road but all rooms seem to be facing the other side of the building which means that traffic noise cannot be heard from the room.
The breakfast bar is also good value for money. There is a lot of choice with fruits, cereals, fresh pastries, ham and cheese, cake and fresh bread.
Thank you for your message. We are delighted that ytour stay among us pleased you.
Hope to see you soon,
This hotel is in a good location to the center, with a frequent bus going through every few minutes.
The hotel is clean and convenient, staff in general are very welcoming and helpful with good English. The rooms are clean, good sized – for one, and my bed was great- very comfortable. I got free WiFi – in order to use it you need to login each time, but otherwise it worked great.
The breakfast was good with nice verity, and is a good value for the price.
Overall I would recommend this hotel for business and tourism. With a great value for the price (I got a 15% discount for ordering two nights, few months in advance using ACCORHotels)
Thank you very much for taking the time to post this review. We are very glad that your stay with us pleased you and appreciated all the services the hotel provides.
See you soon,
My first stay at an Ibis-branded hotel was a disappointment (http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g188644-d206704-r123100918-Ibis_Brussels_off_Grand_Place-Brussels.html), my second stay wasn't out of my choice but acceptable for what I needed - frankly, just a bed: http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g186408-d1071447-r127379406-Ibis_Budget_Bradford-Bradford_West_Yorkshire_England.html
So when I was booked in to stay at this Ibis, I was hesitant as to what I'd find.
The bar and restaurant area is minimalist and the rooms likewise. The restaurant area being minimalist is fine for breakfast, but for a more formal dining experience it doesn't quite fit. Likewise, the minimalist experience for the rooms means that one doesn't receive a 'cosy' experience.
All this said, the Ibis Styles in Reims was far better than other Ibis-branded experiences and I would recommend and return to this hotel - if there was no cosier option available. It is within good walking distance to the cathedral and town centre.
The staff were friendly and helpful on all occasions. One TripAdvisor 'blob' is lost for lack of cosiness.
Thank you for your message. We are very happy that your stay in our hotel pleased you and made your stay among us nice.
