We had a great stay at La Parenthese. The proprietors are lovely. They met every request we had - including a crib and extra fans. We met lovely people while staying in the house, and the garden was perfect for evening card playing (not to mention the cherry tree with ripe fruit!). It was not exactly in the center of things, but that kept it quiet at night. We would definitely stay here again. It is made to feel like a home.

Our room Cerise at La Parenthese was comfortable with a small kitchenette and adequate bathroom. It served very well as a base for exploring Reims, as it offers private parking, which is very necessary with all street parking taken, and it is only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the Cathedrale (and Tourist Bureau), as well as the main shopping areas and Rue d'Erlon, where there is a great range of eating places on a pedestrian mall.
Downstairs is a comfortable lounge, and a good kitchen, with continental breakfast, but if you want something more either bring it from the nearby shops, or walk up to Place d'Erlon. The lovely garden is perfect to relax in. Brigitte could not have been more helpful in guiding us to park, settle into our room, and organise ironing. It is more self-care accommodation than a traditional bed and breakfast, and certainly has more personality than a hotel room.

We have just returned from 3 nights staying at La Parenthese. It is a B7B with a difference. Each of the 5 rooms has a kitchen/kitchenette and all guests have full use of, and access to a comfortable lounge and dining room, a well equipped kitchen, a lovely terrace and well tended garden. Breakfast is simple - in the form of fresh baguettes and croissants. We found that it was convenient to take our own cheese and ham, but were quite happy to do so.
We found ourselves to be amongst 5 different nationalities in the house! It was a lovely informal group who chatted on the terrace at breakfast and in the evening. we were joined by a Norwegian couple, a Finnish couple, a Canadian couple and a Belgian couple. Wht a charming and friendly group!
We were in the room Cliquot which is over the garden and has a separate kitchen and bathroom. The bed was comfortable and the room was decorated in a stylish and quirky way which was very attractive. Altogether a place to be strongly recommended.

Room Tip: The top floor I sa loft room but with 2 bedrooms. Our room overlooked the garden so was very quiet.

We stayed here for 2 nights in July, it was a beautiful house, and very well styled. We stayed in the Loft, it was very well equipt and with 2 large bedrooms, there was plenty of space. The only downside was breakfast, you are left croissants, and baguettes in a basket and either corn flakes or muesli. And you have to help yourself and tidy up after you (load the dishwasher). We have 2 small children and this was not my idea of a holiday, we paid for the B&B service and was annoyed that we had to do the work ourselves, that was what I paid for. Also the choice was minimal, no fresh fruit or eggs or ham. We stayed in a B&B in Epernay, and they served us, clean up after us and had a fantastic choice of food. However saying this, it might not be that important for you, if not then it’s a fantastic place to stay, only 5-10mins walk to the city...

We stayed in the Loft room on the top floor a few months ago. There were 3 of us staying in that room and it was very spacious!! There are two separate bedrooms along with a good sized bathroom, sitting room, kitchen table, and small kitchen area. I loved it! There is no A/C, but we were able to open windows and there was a large fan in the room, so we never had a problem! Brigitte lives right around the corner, so we were able to get in touch with her whenever we needed! Breakfast was provided with large croissants and french bread, which was always plenty for us. There was also coffee, tea, and juice. The best part is the beautiful garden in the back. We sat out here one evening and opened a bottle of champagne that we had gotten that day. It was wonderful and very relaxing!! The B&B is only a 5 minute walk from the cathedral and from many restaurants, so it is in a good location. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Reims!

A very nice and clean b&b. Big room and a comfortable bed. Had a small kitchenarea in the room and downstairs they had a bigger one that you could use whenever you wanted too. A nice little garden for breakfast or just to relax in.
Maybe 15 min. walk to the trainstation. Some good restaurantes and winebars nearby in the area.

La Parenthese is a great place to stay for a few days in Reims. The rooms and house are lovely, decorated with a French modern feel and there's a lovely garden to enjoy breakfast. Brigitte was a welcoming host and was nice enough to let me do some washing even though I was only staying a few days. Be prepared to walk as the B&B is part-way between the centre of Reims and the champagne houses.
