Came to France for 8 days. Stayed in Paris, Disney and Versailles and by far without a doubt our room here and the service was the best. Clean, spacious, nice service, free parking and conveniently located ... no doubt will be back & highly recommend.
Thank you!!!

We like the style of the hotel. It is in the middle of the city and is charming.
Staff was very friendly and helped us with recommendations. We will come back to the hotel.
It is not a luxury 5* hotel. But guess you know that when your booking.
Rooms were clean and beds comfortable.
Parking and Wifi is free and drinks (water and coke) in the room as well. We loved that.

This hotel is perfectly located, right near the main entrance to the Chateau, with the rest of the city an easy walk.

Unlike another reviewer, I did not find parking to be a problem - the hotel provides free parking in an underground garage right across the street, and there is a large public lot about a block behind the hotel. Also, having scanned many of the photographs on this website, the hotel decor did not surprise or bother me. I looked at it as traditional French, and the amenities were modern and fine.

Service was wonderfully friendly and helpful. (I generally found this to be true throughout the city.) I enjoyed a conversation with the manager - we are roughly the same age, he had grown up in Fontainebleau and I had lived there as a 10 to 12-year old. The breakfast buffet is not to be missed.

I hope I get the chance to return to Fontainebleau again, and if so, I would be very happy to stay at this hotel!

Room Tip: My room was on the 1st floor (US, 2nd floor) facing the hotel courtyard and the street. It was quiet and I enjoyed the view.

My wife and I stayed here for two days while visiting our family (who live in Fontainebleu), for Christmas. At the time of booking there were no standard rooms available, so we booked a superior room. It was not cheap, but the standard of service and standard of the hotel in general was extremely high. Great breakfast, free parking, which is close by and well above average free Wifi speed. The Wifi only required a simple password, which is refreshing compared to some hotels where you are required to enter a complicated code every time you login.

Bed and bathroom were excellent with plenty of extra bedding and toiletries. Our room had also other extras like the free Nespresso machine. I'm almost never happy with hotel pillows and the Aigle Noir were, in my opinion, slightly below the standard of the rest of the hotel's well above average facilities.

Staff were friendly, attentive and very accommodating.
We will come back.

We had a 4 night break at the Aigle Noir which lived up to all of our expectations.
The hotel was superb as were the staff who all were friendly and attentive.
We had a problem with the shower door on arrival in the room we were given. This was solved quickly and expertly by being upgraded to a superior room at no extra charge. The breakfast is superb and worth a visit to the hotel alone. The hotel does not do dinner or lunch, it is in the central square of the town though surrounded by over 100 restaurants. A bonus is that parking is very close to the hotel, free, underground and very secure.
Fontainebleau is a great place to visit with the Chateau as the main attraction. It is worth noting that entrance is free on the first Sunday of the month.

Room Tip: Ask for a bath if you want a room with one. A lot of rooms have a shower only.
