Mercure Paris Saint Lazare Monceau
Ranked #810 of 1,804 Hotels in Paris
Reviewed 2 March 2014

Based on more recent reviews, it looks like this hotel was renovated and rebranded since our stay. Speaking on the location, the hotel is convenient to several Metro stops. We also found the neighborhood to be safe and didn't mind walking back at late hours. If you're concerned about noise from the train - don't worry - we were not disrupted by it!

Dear guests !
Thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed the location of our hotel which is one of our main assets. The area is really very safe so our guests can walk even late at night. Indeed, you stayed with us a year ago and since then the hotel was completely refurbished. We would be pleased to welcome you again in our newly renovated hotel.
Best wishes,
Mercure Paris Saint Lazare

I booked this hotel months before my arrival and then received an email reminder about my hotel stay in the "Mercure" hotel...luckily, they kept my reservation in spite of the hotel's name change.

The street where this hotel was didn't look the best or the safest. To my surprise, the hotel is beautiful, clean and modern. No business center but the free wifi in the room was a plus. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms are small but the new furniture is chic and really pretty! The bathroom is a very nice size and I loved the toiletries included (shower cap, bottled water in the fridge, etc) although they didn't replenish during our stay.

The metro station is 2 blocks away and from there, it was a couple of stops away from the city center. Walking back at night was a little scary though since the streets are dark and there were some homeless guys nearby.

I do want to commend Maria Silvia at the Front Desk who went above and beyond to help us on our last day there. We were distressed since our flight got cancelled and she did all she could to help us call our airline, find out flight status, get us a cab, etc. She spoke great English and helped us in a friendly manner. THANK YOU!!!!
