On the edge of the 17th Arrondissement and a short walk into Neuilly this is a welcoming and comfortable apartment. The beds are good, the double was firm but this is our preference and the windows have automatic shutters and excellent double glazing conducive to good sleep. We could not get the oven to work, some instructions would have helped but the induction stovetop was great and so were utensils etc. There is a small elevator, which you will need because the apartment is on the sixth floor. The views are pleasant but no landmarks are in them. The concierge was friendly and helpful and Anne provides a number you can ring to ask questions in English.
One annoyance was the wifi, it required a 10 digit login and password each time you used it, as in, every time after your device went to sleep or out of range. Moreover, it usually took between 3 and 5 attempts to connect. Once on you have a reliable connection at what I would call good 3G speeds.
Re location, You can walk to the Arc de Triomphe quite easily but you are not living in a tourist neighbourhood, rather among the locals. We loved the two nearby markets, the Lebanese market on I think Rue Bayern and the one at Rue Poncelet.
You are not on top of a metro but lines 1, 3 and 5 are all within about eight minutes walk and that makes all the tourist sites easily accessible.
We really enjoyed our stay and would happily have added more time to sink further into the neighbourhood. A good place for a first night local meal is restaurant Guersant, right on the corner, they even prepared a vegetarian dish for our daughter at no notice.
