After visiting Les Invalides we were looking for a nice place to have lunch. We were attracted by the seafood dishes on the menu of La Tour Maubourg. The restaurant is just 5-10 min away from the big square. Food was good, service friendly, prices reasonable. Can recommend it.

This place exists to serve tourists (I saw no French people eating there), and it's clear the management has a low opinion of its clientele's tastes. Do yourself a favor and give this place a miss.

We went in for breakfast, and ordered the typical continental breakfast: coffee, croissant, bread, butter, jam, orange juice. The coffee was so-so, the baked goods likewise but presented with no care, just dumped on a plate and plopped down in front of us. The jam was very inferior, the kind that's a sticky, over sweet goo made of corn syrup, food coloring, and artificial flavoring. Everywhere else we had orange juice in Paris, including the cafe directly across the street from this one, the orange juice was fresh-squeezed to order. Here, it was the nasty stuff that comes in a bottle, with added sugar, coloring, and artificial flavoring. The waiter was going to give us a glass of it that had been sitting on the counter, but he saw me watching and drank that one himself, pouring me a "fresh" glass. It probably wasn't any better than the stuff that had been sitting around.

There are many places to eat in Paris. There's no reason to eat at this place no matter how hungry you are.

We ate here because our hotel wasn't ready when we first arrived in Paris. It was close and we were very hungry. Near a park so neat area. Food was ok. Waiter treated us a bit poor because we didn't want as much as he wanted us to buy/eat. They did have a menu in English, which helped.

We stopped by after a walk near the Musee des Invalides. We were looking for a nice french place for dinner and found it in a corner. While we were reading the menu, the waitress welcomed us, we thought he was very friendly so we decided to give it a try. We found ourselves in a very nice french place, so we ordered the menu of the day with red wine and dessert for about EUR$70. So the actual price range in the description of this restaurant is wrong.

Food was very very good, including the chocolate cake which for us is the best we have ever tasted....

On a positive note, the restaurant is beautiful. Sadly, the lunch specials were reheated and plopped on a plate with little care. Prices seem ok for a sit down restaurant with tablecloths and all. But the food disappoints.
