This is an excellent hostel. It's fairly new; the rooms and bathrooms are clean; there are large underbed lockers; there are curtains on the beds (I wish more hostels did that); and there's an internet cafe downstairs which sells concessions for decent prices. The only drawback, as other reviewers have mentioned, is the location: it's about twenty minutes away, by metro, from the center of town. This was my second stay here and I plan to stay here again the next time I'm in Paris. Unfortunately the wifi is almost impossible to get outside the ground floor; my iPod touch would pick it up sometimes but my netbook never would.
As for the lack of common area which another reviewer mentioned, I think the bar and internet cafe do fine, except when they're too crowded, but that can happen with any public space.More
