Pros: The room was clean and comfortable. The shower water was hot and everything worked fine. There was nothing seedy about the hallways or the room. There is a small elevator if you need it. The front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and could be eaten in your room if you're travelling solo, since there's a small desk and chair where you can perch. Otherwise couples can eat in the tiny breakfast room on the 2nd floor. Or just go out :-) Neighborhood has decent shopping and restaurants nearby if you know where to look. Just a 5-7 minute walk up to the Arc de Triomphe and Metro station.
Cons: Everything was tiny, including the winding narrow staircase which you can't avoid using even if you use the elevator (the elevator stops on the landing in-between floors, so you still have to walk up or down half a flight of stairs to reach the rooms). I am reasonably able-bodied, but it could be a challenge especially with suitcases. The free WiFi was OK but the signal wasn't always great. The walls could be a little thin, so there were a few nights or mornings where I was bothered by the sound of other guests or cleaning staff. But not terrible.More
