We chanced upon this place walking toward Rue de Rivoli. There was a big queue of locals snaking out of the door for their lunch baguette, and inside it was very lively with local Parisiens. Can't go wrong in a place like this, and before long we were getting both excited and mildly worried about food envy. All doubts were put to rest when our escargot came, piping hot and smothered in garlic butter, with fresh bread to soak all the garlic goodness up. Perfect! Then followed by black Angus steak, homemade French fries and blue cheese sauce, which put us firmly in foodie heaven. We noticed as well that they had a proper coffee barista (i.e. not Nespresso which many French restaurants seem unashamed to be serving) so ordered a cafe noisette (like a macchiato). Quite light and not bad. Already planning when we can return.
