I booked this via Hotwire so I actually didn't know where I was going before I confirmed, however Hotwire assured me of a hotel in the Opera district of Paris for 1 adult and 2 children (aged 13 and 14).

When I arrived I wasn't overly impressed by the look of the building - quite modern but not in a contemporary way - more like a governmental office building. However, the welcome we received from the manageress won me over completely. She was absolutely fantastic and couldn't do enough for us. We were upgraded to a 2 bed apt, which was spacious and had everything we needed. I would recommend this to families with children of all ages.

The rooms are open plan, so there aren't doors on the bedrooms.

It isn't romantic or glamorous, but when travelling with kids, that's the last thing on your mind!

It is located near Cadet metro station, 25-30 mins walk to the Louvre, 15-20 mins walk to Sacre Coure, 15-20 mins walk from Gard du Nord.

We didn't eat in the hotel, but we saw breakfast being served.

One downside - there was a particularly noisy guest above us, so issue with sound...

Great find for travelling with kids who struggle with small hotel rooms. No restaurant but who needs one with bistros on the doorstep and a kitchen you can use for young fussy eaters who need snacks at odd times. Our room was more like a small apartment, newly refurbished - more IKEA than 5 star marble, but clean and with everything we needed. And the bonus - we could pay with avois points. Will definitely use again. We found the staff welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was basic but with great boulangeries on the doorstep it didn't matter in the least.

Great little hotel, walking distance to most attractions (if you like walking).
Nice staff, decent European breakfast although we mainly ate out.
Rooms are very nice, modern and very clean.
Nice restaurants in the vicinity
Certainly would stay there again and highly recommend it.

Was with kids in may-june 4 days. Here is a short summary of the apartment - [--], crapy place! Starting with lack of any services (cleaning is awful; lack of place in the lobby and unfriendly reception (except Young man and Lady with red hairs - they are very kind and helpful)). In the room you should not stay between 7AM to 1-2AM! All day long you have either cleaners with hoover, moving furniture VERY noisy at 8AM, Russians singing all day and partly night). Mirrors broken; Diakin, lapms inside – out of order. The walls are pasteboards; you can hear whispering old neighbors. Window cannot be closed - too smal for the place(((
I'd not describe pool - they do not have it and restaurant - the same! I's afraid to eat there.
Services – additional fault! You would be asked to clean the place by yourself! They have 20-30 DONOT’s which you’ll know during your visit. Hope not – please be smart – keep out of the place! Foto’s attached.

We started our visit to Paris at the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile (formerly Corde-LaFayette) and we were very disappointed in our accommodations. Since we were part of a convention, we had to stay. Fortunately, price forced us to look for another hotel for the remaining three days and the Cosy's Cadet was SUPERIOR to the Hyatt. It was spacious, clean, extremely friendly and accommodating and in the perfect neighborhood within a block of the Metro. I used tripadvisor and really appreciate the reviews. Trust me (and disregard those few negative nellie outliers) this place is perfect for a relaxing, enjoyable stay in Paris!

We stayed here in mid May as it was a four star choice from a booking agent. The hotel was NOT four star. However, it did have its pluses, one important one being rather large rooms for a Paris hotel. It's really a residence as it has a stocked kitchen with silverware, small frig, pots, and plates. We were not cooking in Paris, so that area was of little use to us. The main room though had a comfortable bed, a sitting area with a couch, a flat screen tv, and a table and chairs. Only one night table could fit near the bed, so only one side had a light. The night table is kind of forced in the spot and so I kept hitting my arm on it.

I had read the reviews and picked a high floor. That definitely helped with the noise as the room was quiet. There was ample closet space for clothes, and a decent bathroom, although far from the bed. I did not find the hotel spotless, and wished I had brought slippers.

The staff was friendly and helpful with making reservations for us. The breakfast was just ok. As mentioned in other reviews, not in a lovely location: on the main floor by the reservations desk, and not a wide choice of food. The coffee was always cold. Still, it was nice to have cereal or a croissant to start the day without going to a cafe.

The comfort of the room, the size of the room, and the funky area made up for its shortcomings. The area was hard to find- our taxi got lost. Cadet is a little narrow one way street. It has bistros, stores, and an old synagogue on the street! We walked everywhere from Cadet and it was close to the metro.

I would return to Cosy's Cadet as it was a good choice, in a good location, for the money.

Room Tip: High room with no one above you if possible.

We booked Cosy's a bit last minute because couldn't find anything else available closer to the main attractions for our first trip to Paris. We were worried it looked just like an apartment building and was too far away from things - but we were pleasantly surprised! It is a simple but well appointed hotel with practical rooms that may not be 5 star luxury but are definitely modern and spotless. We were upgraded to a large room w kitchen and that was a great plus.

Location is great - it is walking distance to Mont Martre, even the Louvre (15-20mins), Notre Dame, etc and is right at Cadet Metro station which means anything is easy to get to since the metro is so accessible and massive!

We loved the area it is in - a great little street with flower shops, patisserie, bakery, wine shop, convenience store and grocer, brasserie/restaurants, cafes.... All in the same little block on a quiet street that felt very safe at night.

Would return for sure, and notices it is very family friendly as well.

Oh and we found the advice from front desk very helpful too.
