I was on a business trip, killing time and hanging out at Sacre Coer. Stumbled across Le Progres and had a great lunch. Service was good and they try to help you with their pidgen english and my pidgen Francais. Very hearty food and meat dishes with nice size servings. Very provicial, traditional interior. Menu on the chalk board. Came back a month later and it was still excellent. Prices are fair and you feel good about what you get for waht you pay for. Lots of people watching from outside as well.

Just came across this small restaurant. Not the smartest but that only added to its charm. The food and service was excellent and at a very reasonable price. Just the sort of restaurant used by the locals who obviously expect good quality food. Well worth a visit

Had a nice lunch at Le Progrès. Next to their standard menu they have a lunch menu that changes daily, with a few choices of starters and a few mains. We decided to go for the latter, and had a soup and a very nice rice and tuna salad to start with, followed by coq au vin and cod.
Friendly and fast service in a nice atmosphere. Mix of tourists (like us :-) and locals coming in for a quick coffee or beer.

Stumbled upon this restaurant on our way up to the sacre cour. Waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. Food was really tasty and presented beautifully. I had a fish dish and my boyfriend had the steak which was cooked to perfection. Really nice atmosphere and felt very Parisian with nice music, interior and lots of French people... Definitely recommend for dinner!

Coming back from Sacré-Cœur and looking for somewhere local to lunch, my wife and I spotted this place.
It was full of locals (always a good sign) and you could soon see why. It is rustic, for want of a better word, the food appears out of an opening in the wall but what good HONEST local food, which you can see is home made daily
All I can say is this is how food should be, good HONEST home cooking.
If this was where we live I would be there every weekend
Cannot speak highly enough of the place
