“Great Stay”
Reviewed 7 May 2012

We just got back from a 6 night stay at The Renaissance Arc de Triomphe. The room was very clean and modern. We had a little terrace which was nice. The staff was extremely helpful with directions and restaurant picks. 3 local restaurant recommendations, Le Hide, Chez Gabrielle, and Fabrika were all great choices. I love the neighborhood! Eric Kayser right around the corner, Rue de Poncelet, a fun market street was also right around the corner. Away the the craziness of The CE, yet 5 minute walk away. Also 5 minute walk away from 2 metro stations. Close walk to Parc Monceau which is absolutely a beautiful park. My only problem was that the 6 nights went by way too fast. We would love to go back.

Spent three nights there with my husband and our two small children. The hotel is clean, the staff are very helpful, it has a great location and the food is great.

The downside is that it was very expensive for what we got. The family room although it is supposed to be 35 sq mt felt very small and cramped. We payed 435 Euros a night and breakfast for some reason was not included in that price, wifi is at an extra cost and very expensive. Of the three nights we stayed there our sheets got changed once.

Paris is a great city with many great hotels who offer more for the money we spent at the Renaissance.

The hotel is conveniently located, close to the Arc, the metro and the Champs. The larger guest rooms are excellent and easily accommodates a family of 4. Staff are friendly and fully conversant in English. Cool room drops that varied nightly.

Good selection of restaurants and fast food outlets within walking distance.

Great location and a wonderful staff who went out of their way to help in a country we did not speak their language. Before arriving we were sent an informative welcome letter. We stayed five nights--terrific breakfast each morning, with smoothie waiting as you waited for a table. A small gift was left each night at turndown. Accomodating when our son who was studying abroad joined us, and added an extra bed to the room. Although a long walk we could walk to the Eifel tower and even walked from the Louvre. Public transportation was at the corner. Nice open air market open everyday around the corner.

We (2 adults, 2 young kids) stayed here in mid April 2012 and highly recommend it. We had a “family room”, which was really just a room with 2 queen sized beds. The room, #606, was normal sized for the US, but big for Paris. Our room faced the street and you could see the Arc and the Eiffel tower from the side of the window. The hotel is very conveniently located. It’s just down the street from the Arc de Triumph and the top of Champs Elysees. It’s also between two metro stops. The metro by the Arc is a major connector, including RER trains. (we took the trains everywhere, which I recommend. Get a book(s) of ten tickets to save time in the transitions.)

The concierge was exceptionally helpful regarding where to eat. We would tell him where we would be for lunch and dinner and he would give us a map of that neighborhood and outline where to and not to eat. For breakfast, he recommended a great place around the corner where I brought croissants back to the room every morning. The room had free espresso, but my wife can’t live without her giant sized American coffee which luckily, you can get at the Starbucks next door.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Wanted somewhere that was centrally located and had some style. The Renaissance Arc de Triumph certainly ticked all the boxes. We received first class attention from start to finish. The staff are wonderful - advising the best places to eat and how to get from A to B. We were upgraded to a 'prestige' room on arrival and the room was spacious. light and very comfortable. Especially liked the little added extras like in the evening when 'turn-down' room service left little gifts each night, something different each day. Nice touch - much appreciated.

The Arc de Triumph was a 5 minute walk, with views of the Eiffel Tower and easy access to The Metro system.

Final tip - unless you want Continental breakfast in bed, would suggest walking to any of the ten bars close by to get a real taste of Parisienne life (probably a third of the Hotel price)

My husband and I spent six nights at this Renaissance at the end of March. This hotel truly cares about their guests. From the initial e mail from the hotel to our check out we could have not been more please with the hotel. All of their employees greated us whenever they saw us. We even got to the point that we could tease each other. It was so wonderful to return to the hotel after a long day on our feet and just be given a friendly smile and a greeting. The room was pleasant. It is large and we had the room to the rear with a balcony. We were very fortunate to have been in Paris when we could utilize the balcony. We had breakfast each morning at the hotel and found it very filling. The employees went out of their way to make our trip enjoyable and they exceeded all of our expectations. Thank you!
