True Renaissance. Classy. Well-appointed. Extra touches that set it high on Marriott's chain. Location is the plus up here though.

It is a few short blocks from Arc de Triomphe and Champs Élysées. Step out door onto the sidewalk, you see the Arc. Not tiny miles away. Huge. You are that close.

Our standard guest room was good size. Comfy beds & pillows. Bath was huge. Awesome rain shower with good pressure. Great towels. Room overall clean, modern, chic. Will make you smile if your style hotel.

Gym surprisingly efficient. Good treadmills. Good vibe in room. Snug yet didn't feel that way. Well-appointed.

Skip the wifi. $$$. Drop into the lobby if needed. Super fast, free and easy to use there.

Staff encountered very nice. Using English wasn't frowned upon. Felt welcome just the same.

Hotel is in the city. Noise will be noise. You could have a quiet night one night and then you may not. You are in the heart of the city surrounded by restaurants and such. If you are looking for quiet consistently every night, choose a different location in a residential area or out of city center. Here you get it all, good and bad, if you go with almost perfect central location for sightseeing.

Transportation tips:
It was late when we arrived via CDG. Had mapped metro all the way. Easy. Basically take RER B (blue line) from CDG to Gare du Nord. Single ticket to Paris is 9,75 euros. Same ticket will transfer you to metro; use ticket to exit RER gate & enter metro gate. At Gare du Nord, take escalator up one level to RER concourse. Follow signs to Metro-Ligne-2, La Chapelle. Long walk @ 500 meters. Take Metro 2 (blue) from La Chapelle toward Porte Dauphne. Metro stop is Ternes. You exit metro basically at a roundabout, half a block from the hotel. Get your bearings to find Avenue de Wagram, heading toward the Arc (it's huge from here), hotel is on the right. Can't miss.

At last minute, we used 'les cars Airfrance' due to late arrival and luggage for extended stay. This too was super easy. Literally a few steps from retrieving luggage at CDG is the ticket machines for les cars. (Ask info desk right outside luggage carousels for direction.) Buy ticket for Line 2 (Ligne 2) with credit card at machines. 17 euros. (From U.S., ensure credit card has a chip not magnetic strip.) Or can pay driver directly. Will save a few euros if use machine. There will be one les cars employee in area to load bags on bus at airport (so you know you are in the right place). Buses run no later than every 30 minutes. Board in waiting area displays time for next bus. From CDG there is another terminal stop, depending on your terminal #, then into Paris. Two stops only in Paris. You want the last stop, Etoile. This is where everyone empties the bus. You are literally let off at the Arc (roundabout). Walk in front of the bus and take the first street to your right. A few streets over is Ave de Wagram. Turn left (walking away from the Arc). A few short blocks on the left is your hotel. Simple.

Our family of four stay at this hotel, using points. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. They have a wonderful full breakfast. Our kids enjoyed the turn down service - which included a small box of chocolates or small Paris souvenirs each night. Location was great..... we walked a couple of times back from the center of Paris - Avenue des Champs-Élysées and used the metro which was just a short walk from the hotel. Restaurants near by, including a McDonald's. Down the street and around the corner you will also find a grocery store. We enjoyed out stay!

Could not have been more pleased with the hotel. Very comfortable business class hotel that you come to expect from Marriott. (Wow, did not realize I had to write 200 characters to review a hotel. Anyway, to finish off the requirement...) The meeting space where we did our trade show was perfect with an all glass wall of windows. Worked perfectly!

Room Tip: Not sure you can go wrong with any of the rooms.

Location was excellent. Staff excellent. Would stay here again.
TV's need update both in hardware and selection (the movie/tv selection software is not really good), but who needs a TV in Paris?
Room service was prompt and good. Overall a good experience.

This was a total shot in the dark that we booked through Marriott vouchers won at an auction. What a gem! It was close to two Metro stations. It was walking distance to the Arc de Triomphe. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The full breakfast that was included was enough to fuel us for our busy days. (Their croissants were heavenly.) At the end of the day, we enjoyed drinks at the bar. The tasty accompaniments were outstanding, shaming other bars we patronized afterward. This was a great home base for our stay in Paris, and we would certainly recommend it to anyone.
