“MAGICAL”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 October 2013

A fantastic location which is a block away from the Eiffel Tower. It is well worth spending extra to get a suite with a view. It is spectacular, particularly when the Eiffel Tower is lit up at night.

We returned from our visit to the tower to a bottle of champagne (a very nice touch and another reason for spending more). We spent the whole evening drinking champagne, listening to music, sitting on the sofa looking at the Eiffel Tower all lit up and even sparkling every hour!! A fantastic evening and a great end to a holiday.

The hotel itself is 5 minutes from the Trocadero metro, itself 30 minutes from Gard Du Nord (Line 4 then Line 9). When we arrived we were quickly checked in and the concierge brought our luggage up to our room. They will order taxi's for you, give you info about the area and show you how things work I the room if you needed. Very helpful.

Our room was very spacious, especially the suite with a separate bedroom and lovely bathroom. A huge separate shower that is lovely and a separate bath if required. As is usual, 2 sinks and everything provided. Lighting can be adjusted to suit different moods. The beds are large, comfy with lovely pillows. And free WI-FI which is always a bonus. The windows have blinds which are automatically rolled up at night so you can see the view!

Breakfast is A la Carte but very tasty and worth having.

The Eiffel Tower is a 15 minute walk at the most and I would recommend buying tickets before you arrive to avoid the queues and buy ticket for the very top. Fantastic.

All in all, I cannot fault this hotel and everything is provided for you and is a good base for exploring Paris. Would stay here again if back in Paris.

Room Tip: If you can, get a suite with a view of the tower, you won't regret it!!

Having looked for a long time I thought we had found a really good hotel in an excellent location. We always judge hotels on the simple 'would we come back' for here it is a definite No !!
The location is great near Eiffel Tower but the hotel needs some serious work as do most of the staff.
Generally they were disinterested and detached there were a couple of exceptions
I never usually write reviews but I am hoping someone from Radison picks this up and assesses the hotel themselves
In a world full of choices you have to stand out against the competitors and this hotels looks very run down, carpets are dirty and worn on the staircases, the pool has too many faults to list
The rooms are small which is fine as that is the 'norm' in Paris but the bathrooms have no ventilation as the windows are sealed shut and a very unhealthy mould is on the walls which as an asthmatic is really unpleasant , I spoke to the concierge but he did not seem to care and nothing got done
I could go on but this review is meant as a wake up call for a hotel that advertises as four stars but is little better than a two star
As a business owner it frustrates me as every customer should be a potential target for future business and,for me there is no way I would book book Radison again

Modern, well located hotel. Close to the Trocadero and the Eiffel tower. For a Paris hotel, the rooms are modern and comfortable. The staff were detached. The hotel has a very good resturant and breakfast was outstanding. Perfectly adequate for a business trip and I would stay there again.

This is a gem of a hotel in the 16 th arrondissement. You are a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower about a block from the trocadero metro. I chose this hotel because it has a small but adequate lap pool in the basement. The rooms are small but typically Parisian. The bathrooms as noted are not American style. The toilet is in a room by itself and the shower and sink across the room in a bathroom. This is not unusual in France. Food in the hotel is excellent. There is a great bakery down to the right of the hotel past the Coin supermarket. We had some glitches but special thanks to manager Fabrice Martin and Oliver for taking care of us. All staff were very helpful and friendly.

This hotel is in an excellent location. Close to the Eiffel Tower and metro, and in a lovely quaint upscale neighborhood. There is also a small shopping center across the street with a really nice grocery store. Or if that's not your thing, lots of small independent bakeries, restaurants and other shops nearby. Self serve laundry was also around the corner, though we didn't use it.

We were given a room that was so small and awkward, that you could barely move around. And by awkward - the toilet was in a small closet (I know, common in Europe) which was right next to the bed. The 'bathroom' which was on the opposite side of the room and faced the street, had barely enough room to turnaround, let alone take a shower. There was no space to set down toiletries, nor was there shelving or hooks to hang up towels or robes. It is Europe, and hotel rooms are small, but if I'm going to pay $500 euros for a room, at least design it with some intelligence to take advantage of the small space.

In addition, we had mistakenly booked our two night stay a day earlier than our arrival. When we checked in there was no mention or inquiry as to why we hadnt checked in the night before. Instead, I arrived the afternoon of our second day to a staff member asking why our things were still in the room and telling us to essentially pay up now or get out. We paid, but it was not a pleasant experience at all. So in the end, we paid for 3 nights stay, but only used 2. I certainly won't be giving my money to this hotel ever again. The location of this hotel really would be the only reason to stay. Otherwise, spend your money elsewhere.

This is a very nice hotel, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was very small but had a wonderful view of the Eiffel tower.
The bar and restaurant and very good. Breakfast was great both days and the night the bar was open my Fiance had a delicious passion fruit virgin cocktail.
I have only two complaints about the hotel. Firstly the bed - why do hotels insist on pushing together two single mattresses in a room that isn't big enough to double as a twin room? It's just uncomfortable when they work apart and especially so for someone who is six months pregnant.
My second grumble could be down to bad planning on my part, but Paris is very quiet on a Sunday night (apparently on a Monday night as well) the hotel restaurant and bar were both closed on the Sunday night we were there (as are lots of the restaurants you will find reviewed on here). When we checked in it might have been good if the front desk had told us there wasn't any bar or dinner service on the Sunday, that being said the guy on reception did point us in the direction of a nice Italian restaurant a few streets away.

Radisson Blu Le Metropolitan has a fantastic location. It is a 8-10 minute walk from Trocadero station and has beautiful views of the Eiffel. That was excellent as we could stop by the Eiffel every morning and evening in Paris. The hotel is very accessible and has a lot of eateries all around. On the flip side the rooms are very small (though one could expect that given the location). The rooms in spite of being small are very well stocked up. We had booked the hotel on cash+points so it was a good deal for us. Would definitely recommend the hotel just for the location
