“Mediocre Food and Pushy Waiters”
Reviewed 18 March 2013

After a long and cold day of seeing the sights in Paris we were drawn in by the lively atmosphere of this restaurant. The staff bragged about how good the food, music and dancing was and that we wouldn't be disappointed. The staff was wrong -- we were offered a "free cocktail" which tasted like watered down Kool-Aid. Each of us ordered different entrees and plats. The best thing was the salad and the sampler appetizer. I ordered the calamari cooked in tomato sauce. It was so tough and fishy tasting that I couldn't eat much of it. One of our group had the moussaka and she said that it was ok and the other two in our group had the salmon which was over cooked and full of bones. Our desserts were also mediocre. The worst part of our whole experience was when we were presented with the check the server loudly announced that the tip was not included. We had been pegged as American tourists and he was pushing for more of a tip. I switched into French and said that this was the first restaurant during our entire stay that insisted that tip was not included. He stated that the "service" was included and that went to the owner but not the "pourboire" for the waiter. He finally conceded that is was voluntary but continued to be pushy and rude. Tourists beware!

“Nice find in Latin Quarter”
Reviewed 25 September 2012 via mobile

As a tourist its really hard to find and decide which of the restaurants in the latij quarter you wanna settle in. A year ago i went to another greek restaurant in this area and it was good. So this time we decided something new. This place was lively with music and dancing during the night. It felt like on vacation in greece and not in paris! The manager came and talked to us and the service was super quick. The price is very reasonable and a lot cheaper compared to other places in this area. My food (3 lamb chop steak) was delicious! Overall i highly recommend this place.

“Nice greek atmosphere”
Reviewed 27 August 2012

Great location in the middle of the latin quarter. Excellent atmosphere in the late evening, live music and traditional dance. The food is authentic but of average quality and the portions a bit too generous for my liking. Prices at this place is average for the area, but the service is above average if you factor in that this is a tourist hotspot. All in all a nice place to go if you are looking for a lively evening out in the latin quarter.

“Great Greek mezedes and music”
Reviewed 24 July 2011

it is difficult to find good, genuine Greek mezedes in Greek restaurants outside Greece; hence the surprise when we tasted the kalamarakia (fried calamari), the fried zucchini, the saganaki, the melitzanoslata (eggplant dip): they were superb! Our evening there was also made hugely enjoyable by the two talented Greek musicians with a varied and well-performed repertoire of Greek songs. Don't be put off by the over-touristy street with not the greatest reputation for good food; Meteora was hugely worth the visit and I am writing this before heading out there for the 2nd time in 10 days :-)
