After a long and cold day of seeing the sights in Paris we were drawn in by the lively atmosphere of this restaurant. The staff bragged about how good the food, music and dancing was and that we wouldn't be disappointed. The staff was wrong -- we were offered a "free cocktail" which tasted like watered down Kool-Aid. Each of us ordered different entrees and plats. The best thing was the salad and the sampler appetizer. I ordered the calamari cooked in tomato sauce. It was so tough and fishy tasting that I couldn't eat much of it. One of our group had the moussaka and she said that it was ok and the other two in our group had the salmon which was over cooked and full of bones. Our desserts were also mediocre. The worst part of our whole experience was when we were presented with the check the server loudly announced that the tip was not included. We had been pegged as American tourists and he was pushing for more of a tip. I switched into French and said that this was the first restaurant during our entire stay that insisted that tip was not included. He stated that the "service" was included and that went to the owner but not the "pourboire" for the waiter. He finally conceded that is was voluntary but continued to be pushy and rude. Tourists beware!
