“Nice little restaurant near Sacré-Cœur”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 via mobile

Came here with some friends and family. The food is of good quality, accompanied by a fast and friendly service. Products fresh and in season. Prices are also quite reasonable. However, it would be better to pay closer attention to the customers' requests (for instance, my steak was medium while I ordered it well done - order swiftly returned and given back in a slightly better state). Perhaps not as perfect as other reviews suggest, but it's a nice place to visit.

“Excellent!”

We're so happy we found this restaurant on our last night in Paris! The welcoming was wonderful and the serving and the food as well. We had cheese fondue, which was awesome!

“Excellent Fondue and service.”
Reviewed 27 June 2014

A very good restaurant. We ordered a cheese fondue and we were completely amazed.
The fondue was excellent and we haven't waited long. Not only was the food incredible but also the service was good with friendly waiters. The restaurant is a rather small place but its really nice and cozy and its not too tight. The prices are acceptable and not expensive. Highly recommended.

Very good restaurant with a good variety and friendly service. Reasonably priced for Paris. Try the crepes with vanilla ice cream

“Nice little Parisienne bistro!”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

Stumbled across here whilst wandering to Basilica of the Sacré Cœur from the Abbesses station and glad we did.

Two of us went for the Forumla Menu which was (I think) €20.90 each. As we were heading home that day, didn't bother with alcohol and just had sodas which were the usual (high) price!

Started with Foie Gras which, whilst not to everyone's taste, was prepared nicely although could have come with some more seasoning!

A nice basket of baguette tradition was provided with the starters, which was replaced for the mains.

For the mains, I went for the steak (rump) with peppercorn sauce which was served with a small pot of fries. The steak came cooked well, and for a rump it wasn't bad at all. The peppercorn sauce was different, tasting strongly of white pepper and whilst not what I was expecting, was perfectly pleasant.

My wife had the duck which was cooked well and tasty (so I'm informed!). Again, this came with fries which we found a little odd as with a Confit de Canard I would probably have expected some saute or boiled potatoes.

For desert, we went for the Creme Brulee and the Tarte Tatin. The creme brulee was great but the tarte tatin tasted slightly artificial.

All in all, for what we paid we had an amazing meal and the minor points of critique are just that, minor. Anywhere else in the world everyone would be amazed at the cuisine but this is Paris, and the standard is a lot higher - this place makes the standard.
