We were here on bastilles day having spent the morning watching the parade on champ élysées. We're seated on the second floor order taking was quick and polite which was a relief as the place was packed, the decor was ok and we would have preferred to sit out if not for the crowd inside it was little stuffy, wee ordered steak, salmon, pasta tomato goat chees sale and the only veg dish 4 cheese pasta, the salad was great, the pasta bland but the other dishes were quite alright. I think there are much better places if u walk down further and also some delightful street food option in the mall that houses promod and h&m.
The bill was around 25 euros for a entree main and a glass of wine just about ok for a rushed lunch, nope I won't be going back just for the polite service would instead opt for some lovely bistros near palais de congres just 10 min away !

After touring the Arc De Triomphe, we were just looking for a place to get a dessert and coffee with an nice outside space. This place looked good from passing by. The service was terrible. The waitress seemed disappointed we didn't want a meal though it was in between lunch and dinner and they were not busy. She granted us the favor of staying and eventually brought our drinks and desserts. The food and drink was decent, nothing spectacular to make up poor service with plenty of other options on the street. She also brought the check right after the desserts and wanted payment immediately. I thought perhaps she was changing shift, but later saw she was still serving other customers. I am not sure if the intention was a message to leave quickly or to stop us from ordering anything else, but it was certainly not friendly. Please help retrain Parisian service workers by not eating here. There are a ton of other options in the area, just walk on.

We saw this restaurant while walking down the Champs Elysee, and we thought it may be good.

The waiterS (yes with a big S) were extremely arrogant, they don't want to even listen. We had to make every request 3 times before it arrives. Few employees spoke English, surprising in such a touristic area!

They served us the main and forgot to bring the entree, and when we questioned this, they were like: "do you still want it?" instead of at least making an apology.

The good quality wasn't any better - with the exception of the desert dish (the one with pineapple carpaccio and ice cream).

It finally took them ages to bring us the check, and we only got it after walking down to the restaurant manager who hand carried our check.

It's really a disappointing experience. I wish i researched this restaurant before trying..

WE went there as it had been packed on many nights as we were walking down the street. That many people cannot be wrong. We found out that you had better speak French if you want to have anyone pay attention to you. That being said the food was so good we went back a second night and the service was worse. How do you go to such a busy restaurant and be ignored? We found out that anyone that spoke English got ignored. We really liked the salmon carpaccio and went back for it a second night. The all you can eat option is really a great deal if you can eat a lot. The wait staff, management etc could not be more rude. We had to ask repeatedly to get water and the first night gave up without ever getting water. They seem like they may be understaffed but if you speak French your service is great. We know because in order to eat dinner it took 2 1/2 hours each night to get served. WE had to flag down wait staff on more than three or four occasions to get more salmon, bread that we never got, and water that never came. The tables next to us both nights spoke French and had amazing service. They never waited for anything. As one plate emptied another was being placed. It was great people watching and we certainly had time to people watch.

Bistro Romain, a quick walk from L'Arc d' Triomphe & Place de Charles de Gaulle. Very disappointing restaurant service. Having arrived in Paris only 3 hours earlier and touring a bit around the Eiffel Tower, L'Arc D'Triomphe, and The Louvre, we were ready for some refreshing lunch. First, it was difficult to place an order with the wait staff. No one appeared to particularly assert herself to take our lunch orders; we had to ask. Then they "feigned" they did not understand the English word 'lemon' as in "Please add a lemon wedge to our ice waters." Our dégustation d’antipasti appetizer (jambon cru, coppa, speck, courgettes, aubergines, poivrons grillés, parmesan, roquette et gressins servis sur planche) arrived promptly and was delicious, however, then, our main lunch entrees were VERY slow in arriving at our table. And to make matters worse, my husband's beef steak & French fries were cold, so he asked the young blonde waitress to re-heat it. She became huffy, but took it back out to the kitchen chef. The plate was returned to him, after 20 minutes' wait. (By then, my son and I had finished our lunch entrees: Tortellini au gruyère AOC {tout le caractère du gruyère AOC pour des tortellini irrésistiblement parfumés} and Burger italien {burger charolais, légumes grillés et parmesan}, which were very tasty.) And, this time, the steak was overcooked... Exasperated, my husband didn't eat it and refused to pay for his steak meal. Guess one must be selective in one's French menu selections, and perhaps ask the bistro waitress for suggestions.
