We found a good review for this restaurant in the French newspaper Le Figaro and decided to try it during our last trip to Paris. Very friendly staff! Limited choice between a 3 courses menu and a 5 courses surprise menu. If you like to try out more varied Japanese food than the traditional sushi and Teppanyaki, go for the surprise menu! It included two very fine starters, two 'entrées', a main course and a desert. All dishes were delicately balanced, personally I really adored the Tempura, the delicately perfumed sashimi and the somen... and the ganache of white chocolate with green tea crumble. A true discovery! Wines and tea included our bill ended up at a 150€, not cheap but worth every cent of it! We'll definitely come back next time!

One of my all time favorite in Paris.
I used to work in the area and to have some lunches there. There are only a few tables and it's better to book before but sometimes you can get lucky and just walk in.
The food is one of the best I've had in Paris for Japanese.
It is not some plain sushi place. Here you get to eat real traiditionnal Japanese food, like deep fried marinated tofu in dashi sauce, red bell pepper jelly with fish sauce, miso marinated grilled fish, etc.. but there is always a creative twist that really makes it different.
The menu is a set for around 35€, and it changes regularly depending on seasonality and market products.
This is one of the place I miss th emost now that I am in Hong-Kong, where we do havce great Japanese as well, but nothing is ever close to that outstanding price/quality ratio.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel and we weren't disappointed. It's very small but was busy which is always a good sign and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was attentive and very friendly. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable evening, would definitely go back.

The food here is quite delicious and the drawings of chrysanthemums hanging on the wall are serene and just wonderful. Owing to it being the school holidays just now, the restaurant was not very busy for lunch when I went earlier this week. It deserves more custom! Apparently you do have to book in the evenings as it is usually very popular with Parisians who know what's what.

I was there for lunch yesterday and became instantly an enthusiast - for the fine food, the decor (so refined when compared to the usual Asian restaurants in Paris) and the service.
