We didn't have but about six hours in the city once we left the airport so we had to make the most of our day. We took a Seine river tour, which is great is you don't have a lot of time to see Paris. Then we had to see the Eiffel Tower, of course! By the time we had finished that we were famished. To catch our bus back to the CDG we had to get on over by the Opera House and guess what is close by? L'Entracte Opera! S

Seating outside is inviting but it was busy and just a little bit cool. We were a little chilled from the boat ride so opted to sit inside. I'm glad we did because the atmosphere helped us experience a little more of the Parisian culture.

Our server was very, very busy. I wish I would have counted how many times she ran up and down those four steps up into our little elevated area in the back! She wasn't young either!

We weren't real sure what to order and the only thing that looked real familiar was a ham and cheese sandwich with fries which sounded good to both of us. We should have shared because the portions were plentiful and the cheese was so rich I couldn't finish have of mine. It was just too much cheese!

Loved the experience, so enjoyed watching the people and just listening to them, never tire of hearing the French language!

We'd booked a table (for 5) for dinner after the ballet at the Opera just over the road so we didn't arrive until after 10.30pm. We were offered a table upstairs with a good view across to the Opera House. Although the restaurant was still busy service was prompt and friendly so our orders for food and wine were soon taken. Although not all of us were French speakers we were making the effort to use our limited French - our waiter responded by using his rather better English - it's worth making the effort! The menu offers a good selection although it is of fairly standard fare i.e. the usual suspects. Prices reflected the central location. Each of us had ordered different items and none of us was diappointed either with quality or quantity. Notwithstanding the late hour we were under no pressure to leave; often a problem with a late meal. Altogether a very enjoyable meal and we would go back - so we did. A few days later having completed the open bus tour we called in to L'Entracte for a lunchtime snack. Seated at a pavement table again we were dealt with promptly by the waiter and quickly served our sandwich and beer. This a great spot for people watching either those on the street or the many sitting on the Opera House steps. Again, prices reflected this central location but that's what you expect and they were not out of step compared to similar Paris locations.

While i am used to the average service in paris, ifound the waiters inthis brasserie extremely rude. It took forever for the waiter to give me a seat, he refused to clean the table that i liked on the terrasse so i had to sit inside, he then complained when i asked him for the menu twice when he was late.. Basically i hd a horrible service experience. However the food was very good. I had a chicken salad which was fresh and tasty. I have also tasted their salmon and its good.
