Apartment is exactly as described, BUT the "bed" on mezzanine is just a mattress on the floor. And the mezzanine access is via ladder, so not the best choice for anyone with mobility issues. Courtyard helps minimize noise from the street, but it is untended and unsightly with weeds, empty beer cans, and other trash. It would have been nice for someone to meet us at the street. There was no street number on the door, and we entered a pitch black stone hallway where we had to enter a second code. Once inside we had no way of knowing which apartment was ours. Fortunately a neighbor happened by and knew which one we sought (and he spoke English). Christian was in the apt and showed us around, but his English was about as limited as my French so it was a little challenging. The place had not been cleaned yet (13:00) and did not get cleaned until about 16:00. We got sheets only for 2 beds, even after asking for another set. We were advised that someone would come bring linens for the next guests on Tuesday but they never came until Wednesday when our teenage daughter was home alone and a man she never met arrived. All that aside, it was nice to have a kitchenette and laundry facilities, and the price was good for a perfectly central location. Easy walk to Notre Dame, Metro, RER, shops, restaurants, Jardin du Luxembourg, Musee d'Orsay, etc etc.
