This was my first time in Paris and it was amazing. The hotel was very clean and looked amazing. Like everywhere in Paris, things tend to be a little expensive but this place was worth every penny (or cent!). The lovely lady in reception was very helpful and friendly, and helped make our stay more enjoyable. As I was going to propose to my girlfriend I wanted things to be perfect, and thanks to BLC design hotel, they were! P.s. She said yes! :)

We've recently returned from a short weekend break at the BCL Design Hotel.

The hotel overall was very modern, clean and had the boutique touches you'd hope, however it needs a few tweaks here and there.

The hotel staff we're very friendly, however some did struggle to communicate in English (on a basic level), however that is our issue for not speaking French. Elodie on the other hand, was fantastic upon check out as she helped us plan our trip to the airport as the train services we're cancelled. We can't thank her enough for all the help she provided.

The room was small, but perfectly sized for a weekend in Paris. Yes the set up of the room was unusual as the shower and sink we're in the bedroom, hidden by a curtain, however the toilet the a private room. This wasn't an issue for us, however some might prefer more privacy.

We didn't make it down for breakfast, however the bar area (which wasn't actually a bar) did seem quite inadequate for the size of the hotel, however we were served fresh juice and tea after 11am from the server even though service had finished.

Overall a nice modern hotel that just needs to tweak its services/rooms/offerings to make it a lovely modern hotel.

Thank you to the friendly staff for their efforts during a stay.

My son and I stayed at this hotel while visiting Paris.
It is in a good location with easy access to the Metro and, for us, within walking distance to Ile-de-la-Cité to see Notre Dame.
There are many restaurants and shops in the area. Word of warning, though - businesses are not open on Sundays and many shops open until late on Saturday but close on Sundays and Mondays.
The staff were wonderful and assisted my son whose luggage had been lost by Malaysia Air.
On the downside, the room service menu states that you can order food until midnight. After a day spent trying to find my son's missing luggage, we were taken aback when we tried to order food from room service and were told that it was not possible as we had to order 90 minutes in advance if we wanted food. That was definitely not what the menu stated and the reason for my average review.
On the plus side, the windows have double glazing which makes the room quiet despite facing onto the street.

Roos was clean all right, but it is SO small. Never seen something like it: there is NO bathroom, the shower is IN the room (divided by plastic curtain only) and so is the sink. Ran away after 1 night

Value for money hotel well decorated, well placed for a walking base or for access to the Metro system.
Friendly helpful staff, the breakfast was worth the money, although the seating is a bit unusual!

An unashamed Francophile, I've had Paris on my list for many years. I'll be honest, many a beau over the years promised to take me...but this trip was so important I had to wait for the 'right one' before allowing anyone to accompany me to a place I was so looking forward to visiting!

So I did...and it was perfect! He picked the hotel and I was so excited just looking at the pictures beforehand and definitely wasn't disappointed when we got there.

We walked from La Gare du Nord using Googlemaps on our phones and went a bit of a long way round...but eventually we arrived to be greeted by a very friendly (English-speaking if you don't speak French) receptionist.

The white, white wasn't as harsh as you might think once there. In fact to me it just felt very clean and gentle (sounds like soap!) with soft lighting in the room. We did (unfortunately?) have a faulty safe in our room but this only resulted in a free upgrade with minimum fuss to a lovely huge room on the top floor. We hadn't complained or anything...the receptionist just effortlessly told us we would be upgraded to a different room the next day...and we were!

Room service saw us ordering the staple of all room service menus...the club sandwich. We got one each of beef and chicken and shared them...they were absolutely delicious and well-earned after hours of walking around Paris.

From this hotel it's really easy to walk up to the Bastille where there are various cafes and some more familiar looking food outlets (McD's!) if that's what you fancy. There are open top tour buses available but we had trouble finding a place to jump on one. This turned out to be for the best though as we walked and did 'Paris' rather than just all the things IN Paris.

A walk along the Seine was beautiful, all the way up to the Eiffel Tower and then back along the other side of the river. After work couples and groups of friends sit alongside on the Rive Gauche with picnics, bottles of wine and plastic glasses. All very romantic and relaxing. There are plenty of supermarkets around selling plastic cups if you fancy joining them.

After all the walking this hotel was so relaxing to go back to. The staff were friendly but if you didn't want to see them you didn't have to. The room service was great as was the breakfast. Highly recommended. :)
